How Battles Work
More Dislyte
In Dislyte, you’ll get to acquire heroes from different mythologies with an urban style. Each hero that you get to have on your team can be used in battle, and they all have unique skills that will determine their gameplay. The heroes that you acquire will then be placed on your team formation, and you will use them to battle through the different game modes that are available.
In this page, we’ll be checking How Battles Work in Dislyte. In order to become successful with your team, you will need to learn the basics of gameplay in order to bring out the potential of your heroes. We hope that this page will be useful as you journey through the game’s story mode, as well as other features.
Espers and Abilities
In order to learn more about how battling works, you must first learn about the Espers that you have. The heroes that you can acquire on Dislyte are called Espers, you will notice that they represent characters from different mythologies, such as Drew representing Anubis for example or Mona representing Artemis. Each Esper in the game has a role to fulfill such as Fighter, Support, Defender, and Controller.
Fighters focus on dealing damage, Support have skills that can provide buffs and healing, Defenders can take in damage and protect others and Controllers have skills that can disrupt enemies during battle. When checking your Esper, you can find their role listed on the upper-right side of their profile.
Each Esper has up to three abilities that they can use in battle, while some have Captain Abilities that can provide buffs to the entire team. Tap on each of the skill icon on their Esper profile in order to learn more about their gameplay. This way, you’ll be able to create a team with skills that can complement each other.
Team Formation and Elemental Classes
Once you have learned more about your Espers, you will then bring them to battle. When starting a stage, you’ll be provided with a preview of your enemies as well as potential rewards. You can then choose your team formation at the bottom side of the screen, and you can choose up to 5 Espers to bring in battle. If you want to swap them out, simply tap on the Esper’s slot and choose a different character.
During battle, you will notice that each Esper has an icon with different colors on the left-side of their HP bar. This refers to their Elemental Class, and they have advantages in battle. Both Espers and Miramon are grouped into these classes, therefore you can find the same icons on your opponents. The four elemental classes are as follows:
Shimmer is neither stronger or weaker than any other elemental classes available. Wind is stronger than Flow, Flow is stronger than Inferno, and Inferno is stronger than Wind. You can tap on the settings icon on the upper-right side during a battle in order to view the elemental triangle as a guide. If you are using an Esper with an elemental advantage, you have a +15% chance to trigger a Crit, as well as a +50% chance to get an Elemental Boon. If you are attacking using a disadvantaged elemental class, you will suffer with a +50% chance to miss your opponents.
Action Points and Clearing Waves
Once you’re in battle with your Espers, your main goal is to defeat all enemies and waves that will come in. When starting out, you might battle one wave only, but this will increase as you fight more challenging stages. The order of attacks will be based on your Esper’s speed, and this will determine the Action Points bar displayed at the bottom of the screen.
The more Action Points that you have, then the faster they’ll be able to attack. When looking at action points bar, the hero who has the current turn will be shown on the lower-right side. This will move and display which hero is next in turn accordingly.
You’ll eventually be able to unlock the game’s auto mode if you wish, and this will let your Espers use their skills automatically. However, later stages might require some strategy, so choosing which skills in order to be used will help you out in battle such as setting up buffs first, and timing your heals. Once all enemies have been defeated, you’ll be brought to the Victory Screen, as well as obtain your rewards.
The fights that you do in the game’s story mode will be applicable to other features as well such as the Trials mode. We hope that this page has helped you out in learning the basics of gameplay that Dislyte has to offer.
