AG Management Guide
More Artery Gear: Fusion
Artery Gear Fusion is a gacha mobile game featuring equally badass and attractive mech girls in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by murderous Puppets. Your AGs are the core elements of your force and it’s a given fact that you have to manage them properly to ensure they’re consistently efficient in combat. In our AG Management Guide, we will discuss the various methods of improving your individual AGs.
Level Up
This is the standard method of increasing your AG’s level. As your AG’s levels increase, so do their stats. An AG can earn EXP normally through combat though you can also use EXP Cat Orbs or using other characters as fodder to earn a large chunk of EXP more quickly. AGs have “soft caps” on their levels, which means they can only be upgraded up to a certain level until you’re required to increase the AG’s star. Doing so will remove the soft cap and increase the AG’s level cap by 10. You can repeat the process until you reach the current level hard cap for the game (LV60).Star Up
As explained above, this is a mandatory process if you want to remove the level cap on your favorite AGs, allowing you to level them up even further. Only AGs that are maxed out to their soft cap can be starred up. To star up, you’ll need to use AGs of the same rank as the AG you’re trying to star up. For example, to start up a LV40 4-star AG, you need four other 4-star AGs as fodder. The Star Up function is still under the Upgrade button but will only become accessible after reaching the current max level of the AG.Normally, 4-star AGs are locked so you may need to unlock them first before you can select them. As much as possible, only consider using excess character AGs as fodder once you have maxed out their ranks. Alternatively, you can also use generic star-up AG materials called Ahlfors. These are fodder units dedicated to this role only.
Data Chain
This is the Rank Up process, where you can use identical copies of an AG to increase its rank and unlock additional attributes, mostly applied to the entire team or select allies. Each character can be ranked up to six times. A fully-ranked character has significant performance boosts, making them even more formidable than other 5-star characters. There are two methods of increasing your AG’s rank:
* While viewing the details of the selected AG, tap Info, then tap the “+” sign in the top-right portion of the character screen, beside “Data Linkage”.
* Simply select your AG’s (unlocked) duplicate copies then use them as you normally would when selecting upgrade fodders.
Between the two methods, the latter is preferable since your AG will earn EXP and rank up at the same time instead of the first method where you’ll only get to rank up with earning any EXP at all. Finally, please note that this process is non-reversible and used fodder cannot be recovered.
AG Technology
Each AG has access to six Phases of their Technology tab. Unlocking a phase provides permanent stat bonuses or buffs, but as well as improving existing skills. Phases can only be unlocked in a linear fashion. There are also level requirements so leveling up and starring up your AGs have a direct effect on how you’ll be able to unlock new tech phases.Next, you’ll also need to use Research Keys. These materials have varying qualities and can be farmed from the Data Collection battle mode. You can only use research keys that are meant to the AG’s core. For example, you can only use the Research Key of Crystal on Crystal core AGs.
As mentioned earlier, research keys have varying qualities required by certain phases. Some phases will require a mix of Intermediate and Advanced keys for example. If you have a lot of stock of the lower-quality keys, you can conveniently use the Fuse option to combine the low-quality keys in your possession to transform them to higher-quality keys that you might need for the tech upgrade.
AG Skills
Finally, we have the method of improving an AG’s own skills to improve its damage or effectiveness. The number of times a skill can be upgraded will vary from AG to AG. Each upgrade will require a Decryption Chip. The type of chip you’ll use will depend on the skill owner’s rarity or star level, as listed below:* Basic Decryption Chip: For upgrading the skills of a 3-star AG
* Intermediate Decryption Chip: For upgrading the skills of a 4-star AG
* Advanced Decryption Chip: For upgrading the skills of a 5-star AG
You can also reset a skill back to default to recover all decryption keys you’ve used. However, this will cost a considerable amount of Forging Crystals (premium currency in the game) so use this option sparingly. A good example where resetting a skill is a good idea is when you’re replacing a character from your team for good. Decryption keys can be very hard to come by so being able to recycle them when needed is a good option.
