Artery Gear Fusion is a gacha mobile RPG by Bilibili HK that feature equally attractive and badass mech girls in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by murderous Puppets. Like other gacha titles, the game has a huge roster of units (called AGs) with their own personalities and skill sets. However, not all of them are created equal. Players will mostly choose AGs to include in their squads based primarily on their tastes or the AG’s meta status. In this article, we will quickly discuss which characters to watch out for.

This is part 2 of our Tier List. If you want to learn more about the SS tier characters in the game, please check out our dedicated article for it.

Disclaimer

Please be reminded that Tier Lists are not “definite” measures of the character’s strength and potential. There are a lot of factors to be considered like the characters’ availability, their synergy with your team, their utility, equipment, etc. As such, please use our tier lists as what they’re meant to be - a guide. Use tier lists to help you decide whether you’ll want to invest resources and time to build a character. At the end of the day, it’s you who will decide which ones you’ll use based on preference and performance .

------------------------------

Tier List Summary

We will be dividing our list into three tiers: SS, S, and A. SS units are usually considered broken and having them in your squad will drastically increase your quality of life in-game. S tier units are still exceptionally strong but not as broken as the SS units. Finally, A-tier units are strong and reliable on their right. You’ll do well having them but they won’t have that significant of an impact compared to our S and SS tiers.

SS Tier: Ginga, Shyura, Sirius, Hearin

S Tier: Nina, Milvus, Shinobu, Quinn, Alice, Grace, Morris

A Tier: Ghost, Senba, Teufel, Tony, Neisa, Ruri, Chihaya

Special Mentions: Roko, Corax, Della, Kagari, Nio

S Tier Units

Grace

Grace is a blue, 3-star assault unit that easily secures a spot in the S-tier because of her high damage output, crowd-control potential, and ability to reduce her skills’ cooldowns. Furthermore, since she’s a 3-star unit, it’s quite easy to get her duplicates and max out her rank (stars). Even with minimal and proper support (like Alice), she can decimate enemy teams in PvE and PvP.

Her basic attack deals damage to a single target. If this attack lands a critical hit, her skills will cooldown by 1 turn. Her passive skill grants her 30% Crit Chance and Crit Resist. Upon landing a critical hit, her action bar will increase. Finally, the Crème de la crème of her kit - her ultimate skill. She fires all her rounds, dealing damage to all enemies. This damage increases for every bit of HP the target loses. If she lands a critical hit, this skill deals even more damage. Best of all, if this skill kills a target, the skill’s cooldown will be completely reset allowing her to release her barrage again in the following turn.

Grace is very straightforward to build and strengthen. Grace’s skills are all tailored towards her critical hit chance and damage output so it’s worth maxing them all out. Her equipment is the standard ATK + Crit Chance gear for DPS units so you’ll most likely have her ideal gear set from the get go.

Nina

Nina is a nuke-focused red assault unit that is straightforward to build. The majority of her damage will come from her ultimate skill, Final Dawn. The skill has a good ATK multiplier, with a damage that can be increased up to 40% once fully upgraded. Final Dawn deals damage to a single enemy, increases its ACC by 50%, and reduces the skill’s cooldown after killing the target.

Her basic attack deals damage to a single enemy, with the probability of inflicting Feeble (buffs can’t be applied to the target). Her other active skill is The Dawn, which resets the cooldown of her Final Dawn ultimate. On top of that, the skill also gives Nina a bonus turn, while boosting her ATK and Critical Damage by 50% for two turns.

Alice

Alice is a blue tactical unit that has the unique ability of granting a bonus turn and speeding up the action bars of her allies. This makes her a very potent member of any team and will enable the main DPS of your teams to act first. Her key skill, Doomsday Clock, grants another ally with a Bonus Turn, a 50% ATK boost for two turns, and 20% action bar. Once fully upgraded, this skill increases the action bar of the target by 40% with the cooldown of 3 turns.

Alice’s basic attack deals damage to a single enemy and grants 15% action bar to a random ally. Her ultimate targets all enemies but deals low damage. However, there’s a high probability of reducing their SPD for 2 turns. At skill LV4, her ult will have a guaranteed chance of slowing down enemies.

Shinobu

Shinobu is a blue assault unit that offers a lot of utility in the field, ranging from stealing buffs, applying debuffs, and even stalling enemy units with Freeze. Her damaging attacks also deal more damage in relation to the percentage of the HP lost by her targets.

Her basic and passive skills work hand-in-hand effectively. Her basic attack (Bright Moon) deals damage that increases relative to the target’s lost HP, while also stealing one buff from the target. Her passive has two effects that will depend on the target’s HP. If the target has more than 50% max HP, Shinobu gains 20% action bar. If a target has less than 50% HP left, she’ll automatically follow up with “Thousand Heavens”. This follow-up attack deals damage to all enemies with a chance to inflict Infirmity (affected units cannot be healed) for two turns.

For her ultimate, she’ll deal damage to all enemies, with a chance to Freeze opponents. If an enemy is killed with this skill, Shinobu will follow up with “Twilight Oblivion”. This follow-up attack deals damage to all enemies with the probability to apply Electric Shock to enemies.

While she’s a great starter unit, she may get powercrept later by other high-tier blue assault units like Ginga or Ghost. However, if you have either units, she’s still a reliable, high-tier assault AG that can carry you in most PvE content of the game.

Milvus

Milvus is a fierce, red assault harpyria unit that has high, burst damage potential that can absolutely wreck any survivors using her ultimate, Raptor’s Judgment. This skill deals damage to all enemies with high probability to inflict DEF Reduction two turns, and Freeze for 1 turn. She also gains a 30% Action Bar. This allows her allies to sweep the remaining survivors with ease as they’re vulnerable to critical hits once they’re Frozen. With the additional DEF reduction debuff, enemies can be wiped out shortly after.

Her Sundering Cannon deals damage to all enemies, with additional damage based on the attribute countering the target. Killing a target with this skill resets the skill’s cooldown. Her basic attack targets one enemy with the probability to inflict ACC reduction.

She relies on her AoE burst damage heavily and prolonged fights can be detrimental to her performance. Her Sundering Cannon can be a good source of alternate damage against all enemies but you’ll either have to wait for a long cool down or until a target is killed by this skill to reset its cooldown. She performs exceptionally well in PvE content but will have problems facing other high-tier opponent AGs in PvP.

Quinn

Quinn is a high-tier, high-speed blue tactical unit that can deal consistent damage to all enemies while also providing multiple buffs to her allies. Her damaging skills scale off her SPD, so giving her SPD and CRIT equipment sets is highly recommended. Her Emergency Command skill buffs all her allies granting them ATK, SPD, and Greater SPD buffs for two turns.

Her basic attack damages all enemies that scales off her SPD value. This attack also has a probability to inflict Infirmity (unable to restore HP) for 2 turns. Her ultimate is a missile barrage that damages all enemies and reduces their Action Bar in the process. The damage also scales off her SPD value as well.

Morris

Morris is a very reliable healer that you'll get for free. Her ultimate skill removes all debuffs from all allies while also restoring their HP. Her other active skill restores HP to an ally and multiple beneficial effects like action bar increase, cooldown of all skills, and Rejuvenations (regen) for two turns. Finally, her basic attack deals damage to a single target with the small chance of inflicting ACC reduction. Her healing also scales off her HP so giving her HP-boosting gear and sets will help. Additionally, consider maxing out her healing skills and she'll be able to keep your party alive in most situations.

That’s all our personal picks for the S-tier units. Meta units are great to have but building and investing on characters or units you like will allow you to have a more satisfying experience when playing. Your own gaming experience should matter so feel free to do whatever pleases you. Please check out our other articles for the SS, A, and Special Tier lists for more information!
