Artery Gear Fusion Tier List - Special Tier Units

Artery Gear Fusion is a gacha mobile RPG by Bilibili HK that feature equally attractive and badass mech girls in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by murderous Puppets. Like other gacha titles, the game has a huge roster of units (called AGs) with their own personalities and skill sets. However, not all of them are created equal. Players will mostly choose AGs to include in their squads based primarily on their tastes or the AG’s meta status. In this article, we will quickly discuss which characters to watch out for.

This is part 4 of our Tier List series of articles for the geam. If you want to learn more about the SS, S, and A-tier characters in the game, please check out our dedicated articles.

Disclaimer

Please be reminded that Tier Lists are not “definite” measures of the character’s strength and potential. There are a lot of factors to be considered like the characters’ availability, their synergy with your team, their utility, equipment, etc. As such, please use our tier lists as what they’re meant to be - a guide. Use tier lists to help you decide whether you’ll want to invest resources and time to build a character. At the end of the day, it’s you who will decide which ones you’ll use based on preference and performance .

Tier List Summary

We will be dividing our list into three tiers: SS, S, and A. SS units are usually considered broken and having them in your squad will drastically increase your quality of life in-game. S tier units are still exceptionally strong but not as broken as the SS units. A-tier units are strong and reliable on their right. You’ll do well having them but they won’t have that significant of an impact compared to our S and SS tiers.

Finally, we have the special tier. These units are exceptional in certain situations though they can be useful in common combat scenarios when properly built and leveled up.

SS Tier: Ginga, Shyura, Sirius, Hearin

S Tier: Nina, Milvus, Shinobu, Quinn, Alice, Grace

A Tier: Ghost, Senba, Teufel, Tony, Neisa, Ruri, Chihaya

Special Mentions: Roko, Corax, Della, Kagari, Nio

Special Tier Units

Roko

Roko is a green tactical unit that specializes in inflicting Corrosion to enemies. Since each Corrosion stack/tick deals damage based on the target’s max HP, Roko’s kit makes her a fearsome and very potent boss slayer with the right setup. Equipping her gears that will boost her Status Accuracy is highly recommended.

Her basic attack has a chance to inflict Corrosion on the target. If the target already has Corrosion, she’ll deal higher damage and the cooldown of the other skills will be reduced by one turn. Her other skill deals damage and with the higher probability of inflicting 2 stacks of corrosion lasting 2 turns. Finally, her last skill deals damage that scales off from the number of Corrosion stacks and neglects ACC to increase the duration of all the target’s debuffs. If the target has Corrosion, Roko will get a Bonus Turn.

Corax

Corax is a blue assault unit that specializes in Stealth, allowing her to minimize being targeted and even reduces the amount of damage received from AoE attacks. While she can’t deal exceptional damage, she can disrupt the enemy team by reducing their action bars and stunning her targets - both of which are guaranteed to get applied on her targets.

Her basic attack deals damage to a target that scales off her SPD stats, and reduces the target’s action bar. If stealth is active, an additional portion of the action bar is reduced. Her second skill also damages a single target and grants her SPD boost for 2 turns. If stealth is active, she’ll follow up with her basic attack (that also reduces the target’s action bar even further). Finally, her ultimate skill deals damage to a single target (scales off her SPD stat), stuns them for 1 turn while gaining Stealth and a damage-absorbing Warding Shield that lasts for 2 turns.

Della

Della is a green, Defense-type AG that acts like an “attacker tank”, thanks to the offensive capabilities of her kit and her split-scaling. All of her skills deal damage based on her ATK and HP%. That’s why focusing on increasing her HP and Crit damage while equipping the Riposte equipment set is a top choice among players. This makes her a very tanky unit that can survive Grace’s devastating missile barrage and also decimate enemies in return through counterattacks.

Her ultimate attack deals damage to all enemies with the chance to Stun them with 1 turn. Her basic attack damages a single target with a chance to inflict SPD Reduction. There’s also a chance to reduce the cooldown of her “Eye for an Eye” skill. Eye for an Eye is a passive skill that also has active and conditional effects. With this passive, there’s a chance for Della to Riposte (counterattack) upon taking a hit. The active effect of the skill damages all enemies while having a very small chance to stun them for a turn. If the skill’s active effect is not on cooldown, Eye for an Eye is used as a follow-up attack instead.

Kagari

Kagari is a red tactical unit that has a kit that focuses on disrupting the enemy team by reducing their action bars, inflict ATK and/or SPD Reduction, and removing all buffs from the target. For example, her ultimate damages all enemies, reduces their action bars, and applies ATK reduction to the targets. Kagari gains action bar progress for every enemy that loses Action due to this effect.

Nio

Nio is a blue balanced AG, and your starter unit. She’s pretty much well-rounded and investing resources to improve her is not a waste. All her skills scale off her ATK and Max HP so focusing on further increasing her HP through the use of HP sets or better equipment will work wonders on her.

Her basic attack deals damage to a target while also granting her a DEF Boost buff. Her second skill deals damage to a single enemy with a chance to inflict DEF reduction and Taunt the target. Finally, Nio’s ultimate damages all enemies while giving a Warding Shield. This shield’s strength will depend on her max HP. Additionally, this skill also grants an ATK Boost buff for all allies for a couple of turns.

That’s all our personal picks for the special tier units. Meta units are great to have but building and investing on characters or units you like will allow you to have a more satisfying experience when playing. Your own gaming experience should matter so feel free to do whatever pleases you. Please check out our other articles for the SS, S, and Special Tier lists for more information!
