Disclaimer

Please be reminded that Tier Lists are not “definite” measures of the character’s strength and potential. There are a lot of factors to be considered like the characters’ availability, their synergy with your team, their utility, equipment, etc. As such, please use our tier lists as what they’re meant to be - a guide. Use tier lists to help you decide whether you’ll want to invest resources and time to build a character. At the end of the day, it’s you who will decide which ones you’ll use based on preference and performance .

Tier List Reminders

As far as our tier list goes, we will only mention the SSR heroes since they’re more powerful than the SR heroes by default. You can still use SR heroes (or low tier SSR heroes) early on as placeholders, until you’re able to recruit better SSR units. Some SR units aren’t even worth investing into and much better used as fodders for enhancing SSR units. However, don’t let that stop you from using certain SR heroes that tickle your fancy.

We will also only provide extensive details about heroes in our S-tier and A-tier. As we always remind players, tier lists are not definite rules dictating how overpowered or useless a hero can be. Remember, this is your game, your experience! So if you still want to use and invest in a hero that was placed low in our list, then by all means, do it! It all boils down to player preference and of course the availability of heroes. Use this tier list as a guide, as it is intended to be.

You should also consider Team Synergy - this is how compatible heroes are to each other in terms of skill effects and other buffs/debuffs they can bring in the field. This is not that important in the early game but as you face more difficult challenges or high-tier PvP battles, team synergy is much more important than having a team of top-tier heroes with no synergy at all.

About Skills

One major factor that determines a hero’s combat effectiveness is through his/her skill set. Skills make up the hero’s identity and playstyle - something that players can’t change unlike equipment sets or divinity skills. Here are some important reminders about individual hero skills:

* A hero’s rarity will determine how many skills they’ll have access to. R heroes have 2 skills, SR heroes have 3, while SSR and UR heroes have four skills.

* Skills will be leveled up automatically once the hero reaches the required character level.

* A hero’s rarity will also determine how many levels a skill can be upgraded to. For example, R heroes can’t upgrade their skills, SR hero skills can be leveled up to LV3, and finally SSR heroes can level up their skills up to 4 levels.

Lucifer

Lucifer is a top-tier fighter capable of dealing consistent damage to all enemies while also applying a variety of effects. Due to his versatility, he’s a top pick for almost all game modes. His active skill is a multi-hit attack that damages a random enemy while also stunning them while his ult damages and knocks back all enemies. Lucifer can also transform into a Fallen Angel which adds additional effects to his skills.

Like other UR heroes, Lucifer also has two tactical advantages; he can deal bonus damage against Shadowarch and Guardian enemies. Additionally, due to his rarity, he should be somewhat very difficult to get, like other limited URs. Fortunately, I got my Lucifer as a free unit during the game’s 7-day login for new players so I’m not sure if the feature is permanent or not.

* Yasakani Magatama + Air

* Sudarshana Chakra + Dark

Synergizes with the following heroes:

* Athena

* Ganjian & Moye

* Susanoo

Susanoo

Susanoo is a straightforward DPS with skills that also boosts his Crit Chance and attack speed. He’sl also an incredible backline assassin, thanks to his skill that allows him to target the enemy’s backline, attacking valuable targets like rear DPS and support units. The main downside is his survivability. While boasting incredible damage potential, Susanoo is a glass cannon so you’ll need to consider improving his survivability in his builds in late-game engagements.

Recommended Artifact and Runes:

* Staff of Sharur + Water or Fire

* Yasakani Magatama + Fire

* Aegis Shield + Water (late game)

Synergizes with the following heroes:

* Athena

* Ganjian & Moye

* Idun

* Lucifer

Artemis

Artemis is the best single-target DPS in the game. She requires a lot of investment as she starts off mediocre in the early game. She has a considerably high position in our tier list because she shows off her amazing prowess once you have built her properly and with proper teammates to support her. Her attacks can also stun targets, increase her attack speed, and even expose enemies’ weak points, increasing their vulnerability to crit damage.

Recommended Artifact and Runes:

* Axe of Pangu + Fire/ Thunder

* Staff of Sharur + Fire/ Thunder

* Yasakani Magatama + Fire / Air

Synergizes with the following heroes:

* Nagakanya

* Iset

* Heles

* Idun

* Athena

* Lucifer

Medusa

Medusa is a great sub-DPS since her auto-attacks can hit multiple enemies with a chance to steal the enemies’ HP. Her ultimate can also petrify all enemies (facing her direction), preventing them from taking action and increasing the damage they’ll receive. She also has an attack that targets an enemy with the highest energy and removes a portion of that energy while dealing damage. That said, Medusa isn’t a straightforward DPS and will perform poorly without proper investment and team synergy. However, if you build her according to her strengths, she’ll be a potent sweeper or at least soften up enemy units while your main DPS finishes the job.

* Staff of Sharur + Fire/ Dark

* Excalibur + Thunder

Synergizes with the following heroes:

* Athena

* Lucifer

* Poseidon

* Flora

* Zeus

Oberon

Oberon can be considered as a hybrid between a tank and a fighter. He has DPS-focused skills but he also boasts high survivability, thanks to his Storm of Blades skill that blocks all damage and debuffs for a few seconds while also dealing damage to enemies in front of him. This skill deals additional damage based on the number of attacks this skill blocked. He also disappears and reappears on the field during his ultimate’s attack animation, further preventing him from taking any damage.

Recommended Artifact and Runes:

* Yasakani Magatama + Air

* Axe of Pangu + Fire

* Excalibur + Thunder

Synergizes with the following heroes:

* Susanoo

* Izanami

* Poseidon

* Zeus
