Lord of Heroes Guide

Last Updated:

In Lord of Heroes, playing through the game’s story will involve exploring the different regions in the game. As the Lord of Avillon, you will need to occupy or ally the neighboring areas in order to expand your influence. Not only will you go through different battles in these regions, but you’ll also be able to unlock different features on the map.

One of the features you can unlock are the Dakkeon Training Grounds. As you move forward in later regions, you will get stronger opponents so you will want to level up your Heroes. In this page, we’ll check how the training grounds can help for your heroes to catch up with their levels.

What are the Dakkeon Training Grounds?

The Dakkeon Training Grounds is a feature that you’ll be able to unlock on the World Map after clearing Stage 6-2 on Normal. As part of the game’s story, you’ll be able to occupy Dakkeon and form relations with its leader, Aslan. The Training Grounds provides you with a feature of battles, and you’ll be able to get experience in return which will help leveling up your heroes.

Each battle will require Training Tokens which will refill over time. If you begin training, you’ll be able to clear up to a specific number of waves which will require tokens per battle. The fights you get to have can range from regular enemies, to mini-bosses, and then there’s a final boss.

You can play the battles manually if you wish, but you can easily leave the fight on auto since there will be a lot of fights you’ll have to go through. Take note that each succeeding wave will become more challenging, since the enemies will get stronger. Higher EXP will be provided at later waves.

Experience Bonus

A unique feature for the training grounds is their Training formation. Out of the 5 heroes you can put for training, the one that will be placed at the back of the formation will get increased EXP bonuses. This is a good way for your heroes to catch up, especially if you ran out of Elixirs of Insight, and if you acquired a new member.

After completing a wave in a battle, you’ll be able to view the EXP gain through the green bars on the left side. You will notice that all party members will gain the same EXP, except for the one receiving the bonus which has a higher modifier.

Completing all waves

You can choose to complete training sessions based on whatever waves you feel like completing. However, if you want the best experience possible, then you will want to finish all available waves that are provided for your training.

Once you reach the final wave, you’ll be able to battle the final boss. He’ll be able to provide you with the most experience, so trying to clear out all waves that you can will be useful. Also, completing the training grounds will work best whenever there is a buff event that provides you with increased EXP gain.

This feature will be handy especially if you get to recruit new heroes. If you want to save up on your EXP Elixirs for Birthday events, then using the grounds will provide your leveling needs. Eventually, you’ll be able to get max leveled heroes which will help with the clearing of waves.
