Last Updated:

In Lord of Heroes, you get to take on the role as the monarch of Avillon. Your main goal is to expand and revolutionize the world that has fallen. As you progress through the game’s story, you’ll be travelling through different regions in the game. You get to bring with you different heroes as you establish alliances or occupy territories as well.

There can be a lot of things that you’ll need to familiarize yourself with. In this page, we’ll provide you a Beginner’s Guide for Lord of Heroes. This is the first part of our Beginner’s guide and we’ll be covering the basics that you will need when starting out. So, let us begin!

Learn about the different Elements and the battle system

In Lord of Heroes, you get to play as the Lord of Avillon and you have different heroes at your disposal to command. When playing the game for the first time, you will be introduced briefly regarding the elemental advantage that you can get when commanding your heroes.

When starting out, you are instructed to let Fram attack an enemy that has a red color. This actually refers to the elemental advantage that each character has. You will be able to get bonuses based on which enemy you fight against that has its weakness. There are five elements in Lord of Heroes, as follows:

They have their respective colors as well so you might remember those easier. When fighting enemies on the field, you will find those colors so you can remember which elements that they have. Progressing through the game’s story will mean that you will get to face enemies of different elemental types.

During battle, heroes get to use normal attacks, skills, burst skills, assists, and more. All of these will be introduced to you as you play the game’s mandatory tutorial. The order of turns each hero will have will be dependent on their speed stat as well.

Learn about the Hero Roles

Similar to other RPGs, Lord of Heroes provide you with characters that have a variety of roles such as DPS (Damage per second), Tanks, and Healers. In this game, you are provided with 5 types of roles some of which have similar tasks. When viewing the Hero section in the game, you should be able to check their role by looking at the icon on the lower right side. Here are the roles as follows:

WarriorFrontline
StrikerFrontline
SniperBackline
ClericBackline

In order for you to have a balanced team, you should have a good DPS, Tank, and Healer. Having a Striker, Guardian, and Cleric is a good composition and then you can mix the remaining two with other hero types. Make sure to check each of their skills as well to see which will synergize well with your team.

Follow the game’s progression tracker

When playing through the game’s story, you’ll be going through different regions in the game and meeting different kinds of characters as well as enemies. Rewards are provided at the end of battles, but there is also another system that can provide you with items.

When looking at the lower left side of the screen, you’ll find a progression tracker. This will provide you with a list of tasks you can complete, and you will be given the item shown to you in exchange. Tap the magnifying glass button and you’ll see the progression line that you can scroll through to the right.

Try to complete these tasks and claim the items often since this can help you with your journey. Some of these items will also help in making your hero stronger since they can be promoted and eventually get ascended as well.

Aim for a 3-Star rating in the Story stages

When playing through the stages in the world map, you will notice that each stage has 3 stars that you can fill up. Maxing out the star rating will provide you with a bonus reward upon completion. If you look at the rewards list of a map, you will notice that items such as Crystals can be obtained if you get a 3-star rating.

In order to view which tasks, you need to complete, you can tap on the magnifying glass button near the stars of the stage name. From there, you will see the requirements such as having heroes survive the battle and more. Completing all of these tasks in a region can build up the number of rewards that you get so make sure to check the stage details often.

Choose your Hero from the Hero Contract

Play the game’s story and complete stage 1-5 in order to unlock Hero Contract. This feature lets you recruit a 5-star character where you can choose a hero of your choice. However, you won’t be able to get the hero immediately. You will have to go through a reward system of getting items within a specific number of days, and you will only be able to get the hero on the final day of the contract.

If you did not log in during a specific day, your contract will be void. You can only continue the contract by renewing it with crystals, so make sure that you log in each day during that contract period. The heroes you can get here will definitely help you in the progression of the story, as well as other game modes.
