Aside from using Energy, you can craft vehicles in order to move faster. Check your Blueprints and look at the Furniture area, you should be able to find some vehicles there such as the following:
Motorcycle
Armored Truck
Delta Wing Trike
Note: Vehicles will require specific floor types. Check the Build section and click Furniture to see what floor requirements are needed for your vehicle.
