Hero Blaze: Three Kingdoms is an idle-RPG with vertical shooter and P2E mechanics through their own tokens and economy. Outfitting your heroes with the best possible gears can significantly increase their overall combat prowess, which can affect your progression in the game. In our Equipment Guide we will discuss this familiar concept and how you can use this feature to further improve the combat power of your generals.

Each general has three equipment slots: weapon, armor, and accessory. Equipping these gears will provide them with attribute bonuses and enable special skills or effects. So far, there’s no way to purchase weapons outright or obtain them as rewards. That leaves us with the only option - Crafting. This can be done by accessing the Blacksmith facility. For more information about the actual crafting process and anything related to the facility, please check out our dedicated page for it.

Upgrading Weapons and Armor

Weapons and armors have default attributes and unlockable bonus attributes once you Upgrade them. If you check the details of the gear, you’ll be able to see the unlockable skills at LV 5, 10, and 15. These bonus skills/attributes will stack their effects.

To upgrade a weapon or armor, you’ll need the corresponding Upgrade Stone and gold (e.g. Weapon Upgrade Stones for weapon) For every upgrade attempt, there’s a chance for the attempt to fail. For every failed upgrade attempt, the Upgrade Success Rate gauge will increase. As the name of the gauge goes, this gauge will continue increasing the rate of success for the next attempt. Once an upgrade succeeds, the gauge will reset to its default value.

Equipment Guide

Finally, you can also set if you want the item to be upgraded automatically up to +5, +10, and +15, by toggling the button beside the gold and upgrade button at the bottom of the screen. The upgrade will continue until it reaches the set level as long as you have enough gold and materials.

Crafting Next Tier Items

You’ll also be able to craft the next level of the basic weapons once you have maxed out the level of the preceding weapon or armor. The preceding item will be unequipped and consumed as a material. From there, you can just equip the newer, higher-grade gear and repeat the process of upgrading it. Here are some examples:

* A +15 Training Spear (1-star) can be upgraded/crafted into a Long Spear (2-star).

* A +15 Long Spear (2-star) can be turned into a Halberd (3-star)

* +15 Halberd (3-star) can be upgraded to a Fire Dragon Spear (4-star; recipe required)

* +15 Fire Dragon Spear can be upgraded to Green Dragon Crescent Blade (5-star; recipe required)

Special Upgrades

This process is only available to a 5-star equipment with 15 upgrade levels. You’ll need to spend a Special Upgrade Stone (and of course, gold) to continue with the process. The Special Upgrade Stone needed will depend whether it’s for weapon and armor.

Faction Option

A Faction Option may be randomly applied to an equipment when you craft one with low probability. The weapon or armor’s faction will be displayed in the top-left corner of their icons. If a general whose Faction is the same as the crafted item with the Faction Option, the General receives a Bonus Effect. You’ll also know if a Bonus Effect is active when the equipped gear is glistening.

Take note that this is not applied to accessories or options obtained through special upgrades. The Bonus Effect is applied separately to Weapons and Armor.

* Weapon: If a General’s Faction matches the equipped weapon’s faction, the General gets a +30% ATK bonus. This is not applied to options from special upgrades.

* Armor: If a General’s Faction matches the equipped armor’s faction, the General gets a +30% DEF and HP bonus. This is not applied to options from special upgrades.
