Hero Blaze: Three Kingdoms is an idle-RPG with vertical shooter and P2E mechanics through their own tokens and economy. Outfitting your heroes with the best possible gears can significantly increase their overall combat prowess, which can affect your progression in the game. Thankfully, you have the ability to craft your own gears to keep your main generals properly outfitted. In our Equipment Crafting (Blacksmith) Guide we will cover how the system works and how to take advantage of it.

Overview

Each general has three equipment slots: weapon, armor, and accessory. Equipping these gears will provide them with attribute bonuses and enable special skills or effects. So far, there’s no way to purchase weapons outright or obtain them as rewards. That leaves us with the only option - Crafting. This can be done by accessing the Blacksmith facility. You can access it from the Castle menu then go to Legislature. Like other features in the game, you can unlock this facility by progressing through the story.

Once you have unlocked the facility, you’ll be able to craft Weapons and Armor. The ability to craft Accessories can be unlocked later on, once you’ve reached Warlord LV20. Crafting in the game is simplified, as long as you have learned the necessary recipe and have the required materials. You just need to select the equipment you want to craft and the materials that will be consumed will be displayed as well. If you want to know more details about the resulting gear, you can tap the “Details” button to the right of the equipment preview. Once you’re good to proceed, just pay the required amount of gold by tapping the Craft button at the bottom of the screen to receive the item instantly.

Accessory Crafting

Since accessories are special equipment, they can have 1-5 random effects imbued in them. The number of effects and maximum number of effects that can be imbued will depend on the quality of the crafted item. Accessories require different material types. They can be identified through the icon in the top left corner of the tablet’s icon.

The various effects are randomly applied using the rules below.

1. Normal Effect: This is applied to normal modes like Commentary Mode or Expedition. Up to 5 effects can be granted. Duplicated effects will stack.

2. Battle Effect: This is applied to Battle Modes like Storm the Gate or Duel. Like the Normal effect, up to 5 effects can be granted and duplicated effects will stack.

3. Special Effect: This effect is highlighted in yellow and only up to 1 effect can be applied. This effect can’t be stacked.

Recipes

As soon as you unlock the Blacksmith facility, all 1-star equipment recipes will become available as well. You’ll also be able to craft the next level of the basic weapons once you have maxed out the level of the preceding weapon or armor. The preceding item will be unequipped and consumed as a material. From there, you can just equip the newer, higher-grade gear and repeat the process of upgrading it. From there, you can just equip the newer, higher-grade gear and repeat the process of upgrading it. Here are some examples:

* A +15 Training Spear (1-star) can be upgraded/crafted into a Long Spear (2-star).

* A +15 Long Spear (2-star) can be turned into a Halberd (3-star)

* +15 Halberd (3-star) can be upgraded to a Fire Dragon Spear (4-star; recipe required)

* +15 Fire Dragon Spear can be upgraded to Green Dragon Crescent Blade (5-star; recipe required)

Once you have acquired a lot of different recipes, you can conveniently filter out the ones that are currently craftable and even sort them further by rarity. However, recipes don’t come as is; first, you’ll need to obtain recipe fragments from the Expedition shop. Once you have 10 fragments, you can combine them to create the actual recipe.

Material Crafting

Higher grade recipes will require higher-grade materials as well. That said, you can combine several lower-grade materials to create the next higher-grade material. You’ll need to do this from the Blacksmith screen as well. Just tap the Material button in the middle-left portion of the screen. Like the equipment crafting screen, you can also filter out materials that can be crafted and their respective grades (stars).

Dismantling

Finally, we also have the option to spend gold to Dismantle equipment and accessories. This allows us to recover the materials used for upgrading the selected gear, except for the recipes used. Dismantling accessories will only return a portion of the Silk, Ruby, and Horn of Kylin used. Finally, we can also dismantle materials and get the full amount of combined items. This is useful if you want to reallocate your materials based on your immediate needs.
