I sent my drivers out about a day ago. The remaining time indicates 0000 but I'm unable to use neither..

Try to exit the game then enter it again

Here's what you should do

1. Make sure you have and are connected to data or WiFi

2. When you enter the game it may not show the driver right away so click on the gift icon and it should come up. If not you need to wait a little.
