In order to play Galactic Treasures, Jungle Treasures, Moonlight Treasures or Egyptian Treasures you need pickaxes (some players are referring to these as hammers) to break the squares the find the treasure and grab the rewards.

But like in Prize Drop the tokens that you use in the event can be quite hard to come by.

Here are all of the ways that you can get more free pickaxes in Monopoly GO.

• Events and Tournaments

  While Galactic Treasures, Jungle Treasures, Moonlight Treasures or Egyptian Treasures is running, the events and tournaments currently running will usually offer pickaxes at certain milestones.

  Check out the milestone rewards list related to the current events to see where they are located and how many pickaxes you can get.

• Quick Wins

  There are new Quick Wins posted every day and while Jungle Treasures, Moonlight Treasures or Egyptian Treasures are running, some of the rewards will include pickaxes. Check out our Quick Wins page for details on how to play and what other rewards you can get in these daily tasks.

• Shop Gifts

  Check out the shop by tapping on the three lines at the top right of the game page, the scroll the top panel over to the right as far as it will go to reveal the eight hourly free shop gift. While these dig events are running you may get some free pickaxes as part of this free gift pack.

• Free Pickaxe Links

  These don't exist if they do we will update this page as soon as we find out about them.

No, usually items such as pickaxes are never given away in links. So far we've only seen free rolls, sticker packs and partner tokens given out by free links.
