Moonlight Treasures is the new mini game released on Monopoly GO, packed with prizes and more opportunities to pick up some free dice rolls and stickers. To play this event you'll need to get pickaxes which you can get for free in tournaments, events, quick wins and 8 hourly shop rewards.
It's available to players from the 8am ET on the 10th December 2023 until 12 noon ET on the 13th December, to access it just tap on the pickaxe icon on the right of the main game screen.

There are 16 milestones to get through and each one will give you a different reward, here is our list of Moonlight Treasures rewards and milestones.

How to Win Moonlight Treasures
To win all of the Moonlight Treasures, you'll need to work your way through all 16 levels in this mini game. The final prize includes a coveted Galaxy Pack which will give you one sticker that you don't already have, however to make it to the end will require a ton of pickaxes.

How to Get More Pickaxes
There are a number of ways to get free pickaxes (or hammers) in the game while the event is running. You can also check out our article on How to Get More Free Pickaxes.
- Tournaments and Events
The currently running tournaments and events will have some pickaxes in their milestone rewards, check out our All Events Explained page to find out which events are currently running to get their milestone list the exact locations of pickaxes.
- Quick Wins
While Moonlight Treasures is running, the Quick Wins tab at the bottom of the game will have tasks where the reward will sometimes be free pickaxes. This is a really easy way to get free pickaxes.
- Shop Gift
The easiest way to get free pickaxes is to check for your shop gift every 8 hours. To do this tap on the three lines at the top of the game screen, then tap shop, then swipe that top block to the right until you get to the last page. That is where you get your free shop gift every 8 hours. While this event is running you may find pickaxes there as part of the gift pack.

Tips to Best Use the Pickaxes
This is very much like a game of battleships and we can use the same tips for Moonlight Treasures.
- Guess in Diagonal Lines
By digging in diagonal lines, you will make each shot is placed in a new row, and a new column, this will maximize the number of rows and columns that you dig into.
- Use the 'checkerboard' method
When you get to the bigger boards on later milestones, imagine the game board as a checkers board or alternating black and white squares. Then you just make shots on only either the black squares or white squares except when completing a treasure item.
