How to Play Hot Rod Partners

As with all partners events you need to join up with four other players in order to complete an object together. In the case of this event you'll creating cars. Then it's a matter of collecting wheels in the game in order to spin the partners event wheel and get some points towards your building your Hot Rods.

First of all let's look at the best ways to get partners.

How to get Partners for Hot Rod Partners

This is probably the most important step in the event, because you will be working together with four other players to contribute to baking cakes together. If your partner turns out to be inactive or doesn't pull their weight in the event you may not be able to complete it, and while you never really know how a partner will perform until you start playing together, there are some precautions you can follow in order to stand a better chance of teaming up with reliable partners, here are our suggestions:

  • Check your current friends list leaderboard, try to work get a few potential partners. You'll need to make sure that they are currently still active.
  • There are various subReddits and Discords that are dedicated to Monopoly GO. People may advertise their availability there and show screenshots of their current dice. Some will be telling the truth, but some may not be.
  • Head to our Monopoly Go Forum to look for a partner, we are a small but friendly bunch and you may just find your perfect partner there.
  • Try to remember who you have partnered with previously to try to recall if they we a good partner or not when deciding if you want to invite them again, or if you accept an invite from them.
  • Don't just accept any invite, do try to check out the player a bit first of all, the minimum being seeing where they are on your friends list leaderboard
  • You don't have to choose all four partners right away, you have some time, many top players leave gaps to add more partners later.

Need more wheels? Here's what we know...

How to Get More Free Steering Wheels

How to Spin the Event Wheel, is there a best multiplier to use?

When you have at least 20 points you can start to spin the event wheel for Hot Rod Partners, to do this, click on the car you want to build to get taken to the wheel page.

Then you just select the multiplier that you want to use, this will determine how many points you allocate to each spin, then hit the big red button in the middle.

I don't think there is a 'best multiplier' to use, but whatever you are comfortable with. As someone that gets enough points to try to go more or less 50/50 with all partners, the multiplier I usually use is x5, that uses 100 points.

So, normally, I'll save 500-1000 points before starting to spin the wheel. But again, you may be better with higher or lower numbers, depending on your level in the game. But I don't think the multiplier makes a difference to the outcome.

Obviously the best segment to land on is the gold on, that will get the most points. The higher the multiplier you use, the more points you can potentially win.

How Many Points to Complete the Event

The points total you need to complete a car is 80,000 points, so to complete the whole event you and your partners would need to accumulate 320,000 points together. That should underline the importance of trying your best to select helpful partners for this event. There is no set rule for the amount of points that you personally need to contribute. No matter what your contribution to an individual cake is, both partners can claim the same rewards.

Hot Rod Partners Rewards

In partners events rewards are split into milestone prizes as you complete a single car and the grand prize if you manage to complete all four.

Milestone for Individual Car Overall Points Total Rewards
2,5002,500200 Free Dice Rolls
6,0008,500Cash
13,000 21,500200-300 Free Dice Rolls and Cash
26,50048,000300-500 Free Dice Rolls, Four Star Blue Sticker Pack, Cash and High Roller
32,00080,000400-600 Free Dice Rolls, Cash, 15 Minute Sticker Boom, Five Star Purple Sticker Pack

Complete all four cars in Hot Rod Partners to get the Grand Prize:

  • Exclusive Diamond Dragster Event Token
  • 5000 Free Dice
  • Wild Sticker

Should I complete Each Car Individually First

Some people play partner events by selecting one partner and completing one item at a time. I don't play this way. As long as I have enough dice to believe I should be able to make at least a 50% contribution to a completed build, I add all of my partners early in the event and then try to distribute my points across all four partner builds, aiming to at least match the progress of my partners.

What happens to left over wheel tokens?

If you have any wheel tokens left at the end of the event they are usually converted into a reward of dice, money or a mixture of the two. It would be great if you could share your event tokens with your partners! Monopoly Go... If you are listening!

Are there any free wheel links?

Sometimes free event token links are distributed by Scopely. But this doesn't happen in all partner events. If any come, most likely they will be towards the end of the event. If we find any, we'll put them on our free dice links page which we updated daily with free dice links.
