Hidden Escape: Murder Mystery Chapter 5 - Day at the Kitchen Walkthrough

This is our walkthrough for Chapter 5 - Day at the Kitchen of Hidden Escape: Murder Mystery. A puzzle adventure game from Vincell Studios. Set around a Cruise ship reality show where you will need to find objects and solve puzzles.

In Chapter 5 you will continue with day 3 of the events of the competition in Sail Me Away, the Reality TV show.

Chapter 5 - Day at the Kitchen Walkthrough

You start as Mark and need to head to the Kitchen to prepare a meal. Tap the doors on the right under the Windy Seas sign to go through.

Restaurant

• First tap on the bar area at the back to view it.
  
• Collect the scissors from the bar top and also the 2 glasses.
• Then view the Menu book to see some clues. You can then turn the pages to see various dishes and the prices.
  
• Now you can tap on the 'Cash Receipt Machine' at the back to view the screen.

Cash Receipt Machine

• You need to enter a code with 4 symbols.
• Check the clues in the menu, each will represent one of the symbols available on the screen.
• Solution:

  Tree, Snowman, Button, Bee

• Collect the access card from the drawer that opens.
• Now use the access card on the panel to the left below the bottles. You will see 4 symbols for dishes.

Food Puzzle

• To the right of each symbol is an item of cutlery (knife, fork, spoon).
• Tap these to change them.
• Match the cutlery to the one show in the menu for each item.

When the panel opens, collect the plates and a Dial from the left side are and then tap on the cutlery on the right.

Cutlery Puzzle

Simply swap pairs of items around to arrange them to fit the shape.

You will then collect the cutlery.

Now add the green dial to the other 3 colored dials just above. You then have a puzzle to set them

Dials Puzzle

Notice that the 4 colors of the dials match the colors of the 4 compasses on the wall to the right.

Set he positions of the dials to the positions of the colored needles on the compasses.

This opens the top panel. View this.

Bottles Puzzle

Look at the note on the top right corner for the instructions on how to arrange the bottles.

Swap pairs of bottles around to arrange them correctly.

You will then collect a Waves Bottle.

Back out it the foyer again and use the Scissors that you have to cut some flowers for the vase by the elevator. Then go back into the restaurant.

Now you can set the table marked as 'Reserved'.

Add the flowers to the table and then also the plates, glasses, cutlery, and Bottle.

After this you will receive a Key.

Back out to the Foyer again, here you can now use the key to open the wall cabinet on the right and collect the chef's coat from inside.

Then go back into the Restaurant and tap the door at the back to enter the Kitchen.

Kitchen

You can view the paper on the preparation table by the chopping board. This will give you the instructions on what to prepare. There is also a second note on the wall to the left above the stove for a fish dish.

First collect Onions and tomatoes from the shelves by the door at the back. Then place these in turn on the chopping board to have then sliced and you will collect them again.

Then open the wall cabinet on the left of the back wall and collect from inside some soy sauce and some pepper.

Next tap on the refrigerator on the back wall to see a puzzle.

Fridge Puzzle

• There are 4 numbers to find. Each number has a clue with 2 animal symbols as a sum. e.g. Pig - Fish.
• Check the menu again on the bar for dishes involving the animals to get number values for each one.

With the fridge open you can collect Chicken, Fish, and Butter

Now you can cook both meals.

Chicken

Add the chicken to the round tray on the table and then also add the onions and tomatoes. Finally add the Soy sauce to it.

You will then collect the uncooked chicken.

Now tap on the oven on the left to see a puzzle dial.

To solve this you need to use the buttons to turn the control either 3 spaces anticlockwise or 2 spaces clockwise.

This will change the light on or off.

You need to set all of the lights on.

Once done the oven opens. Add the uncooked chicken to it and after a few seconds you can collect the cooked chicken.

Fish

Now add the fish to the pot of boiling water on the stove. Then collect a Skimmer Spoon from the tack of tools under the wall cabinet.

Use this on the pot of water to collect the fish

Next tap on the frying pan on the stove top and place the fish on the white plate.

Then add the butter and the pepper to the side.

Drag the fish onto the pan and add the butter, then once it melts add the pepper. You can then collect the cooked fish.

Return to the dining area and place the 2 dishes onto the table.

You are then interrupted by an argument outside.

Watch the fallout and you will then complete Chapter 5
