How to Unlock the Pet System

When starting out, you’ll notice that you won’t have access to any pet related features. It’s important that you play through the game’s story first by completing the main quests in order for you to gain some EXP and level up. Your starting Pet is Kitty, and you’ll be able to view its stats. It’s suggested however that you keep leveling up your character in order for you to get most of its features. Pets can be captured later on as well and you’ll get more kinds based on your current level.

Pet Features

Why are Pets that important? Is their damage provided high enough that it can make a whole difference? Well, pets aid you in battle indeed by providing additional damage, but that’s not only the main benefit that pets can provide. Let’s discuss the different pet features that you’ll be able to see in the game:

Pet Stats: The Pet Stats let you choose which pet participates in battle while you’re in the field. From here, you’ll see their basic stats, aptitude skills, Gear accessory, and pet soulstone. Your Pet’s rating is based on their growth level, skills, and their aptitude. Pets can provide additional damage when fighting, and their skills have effects that can debuff enemies such as reducing defense, and more. You can increase your pet ‘s level through Pet EXP Potions that can be crafted through Alchemy.

Soul Refine: This feature lets you increase your Pet’s Aptitude which are their stats such as HP, M.Atk, P.Def and so on using Refined Soulstones. This provides increased stats which in turn make their skills much more efficient in terms of their provided effects. However, Soul Refining isn’t an increase all the time. Think of this feature as a reset to all of your Pet’s aptitude, so you’ll want to re-roll until you get stats that are higher than previous. Refined Soulstones can be purchased from the Shop as well as the Redemption Shop.

Gallery: If you want to know what types of Pets are available in the game, you’ll check the gallery tab. Here you’ll find the list of common pets that can be unlocked based on your current level, as well as Rare pets that you can obtain through events. Each Pet has bonus effects called Pet Blessings which will enable you to get various buffs, and they can be increased by using an Epic Pet Soul. This item can be acquired through dismantling pet eggs, the trade house, as well as the redemption shop.

Protection: One of the best ways your Pet can help you is by providing you with Pet Protection bonuses. You can Unlock more slots for Pets and add them to pet protection, and their stats are converted as part of yours by a certain percentage. This is why providing pets with better stats is important, because they’ll be converted as part of your own which will make you stronger. As much as possible, you’ll want a high protection level for more stat conversion.

What are the Best Pets to use?

With different kinds if pets available in the game, you’ll wonder which pets are best that can be used. A lot of the pets in the game can be acquired through events, so you’ll want to focus on obtaining one of each kind of the common pet first. Check the pet gallery to see the list of pets available since they provide you with the level required for you to capture them.

In terms of Pet usage, this will all depend on your current character class. If you check the Pet Gallery, you’ll find that they have pet blessings that provide increased stats for your Attack, Magic Attack, Defense, and Magic Defense. So this means you’ll want to match it to your current class. Having Attack blessings will be good for Warriors, and Magic Attack can be good for Mages. Having a combination of Both will help out with hybrid classes like Vampires, and so forth.

In the end, the best that you can use is the one you currently have. Raising them by increasing their level, skills, and aptitude will help you get increased stats of your own. Remember that Pets provide you with bonuses, but it’s still up your character if you want to succeed in getting stronger.
