Zombeast is a First-Person shooter where you’ll have to take on a campaign and defeat different hordes of zombies along the way. Knowing which kinds of enemies are available, as well as the capabilities of your weapons, will help you out in order to be successful with your missions.

In our Zombeast Starter Guide, we’ll provide you with tips regarding the game including the mechanics, as well as what you need to do depending on the situation. The game provides you with a campaign, daily missions, as well as weapons that you can upgrade which is quite simple.

The main core gameplay however is how you control your character and how you defeat your enemies. Learn more about your weapon’s capabilities, as well as how you can move your character in order to minimize getting damaged from enemies, so let’s get started!

1. Learn the importance of weapon swapping

When starting the game, you’ll be provided with 2 weapons first, and you’ll be able to unlock more along the way as you progress through the campaign. Learning how to change your weapon depending on the situation is needed, and you can do this by pressing the weapon icon on the lower right side.

Different waves of enemies can appear in a mission, and some types are more resilient versus a specific weapon. Some as well have weaknesses versus kinds such as pistols and shotguns. Make sure to read the mission tips every now and then since it can provide you with hints about the enemy’s weakness. Swap your weapon based on your enemy, or if you’re aiming for area damage, fast reload, etc.

2. Pick Up weapons on the field

There will be some missions in the game where you can temporarily pick up weapons in order to take out the horde that’s incoming. This is dependent on the mission, so make sure to check your surroundings ahead and look for blinking arrows. You’ll be able to find some weapons that are laid on the ground.

These can vary from rapid firing ones, or for taking out enemies at once if they are clustered together. Make use of your surroundings and take shelter if you can with barricades, cars, etc. You can also move during firing, so try to strafe while taking your enemy out.

3. Use manual aim when needed

The game has a feature that lets you automatically aim for the nearest target. If you want more challenge, or perhaps precision, you can switch to manual aim mode by pressing the icon on the left side.

Manual aim lets you move your reticle specifically to your chosen position before firing. This can be helpful versus soldier type enemies if they carry a shield. This way you can aim straight to their head or to other vulnerable areas.

4. Use your grenades

Later on in missions, you’ll be provided with hand grenades that deal area damage. This is very good to use if you have hordes of enemies incoming, and you’ll need to keep them at bay or in control.

There can be instances in the game as well where you have a low ammo capacity weapon and that you may be reloading, however you’ll be able to use a grenade for the mean time to take enemies out. This item can be used by pressing the grenade icon on the right side.

Grenades are also useful if you have missions where you need to make enemies explode. This can provide you with money as rewards in order for you to upgrade your weapons.

5. Pick up ammo on the field

Aside from picking up weapons that you see, you’ll also be able to see ammo that may be only obtainable for that specific mission. You’ll want to be loaded as much as possible when taking out enemies, so make sure to look out for blinking arrows that will point you to ammo locations.

Different ammo varieties will be available depending on the weapon choice that you’re able to pick up during a mission. Save your ammo as well if this is needed for specific missions, so use the weapon swap feature when needed.

6. Look out for explosive drums

Since the path you take on missions only go forward. You’ll have a narrow path where enemies will just be coming in waves. Being able to take out multiple enemies at once will help you rack up points, as well as lessen the threat that you have to deal with.

Aside from using shotguns and grenades, you can look out for explosive drums that can appear on the field. Shooting this will cause a huge explosion that can take out anyone near it, so make sure to wait for your enemies to talk nearby first before taking a shot.

Explosives are one of the few interactable objects that you can use to your advantage since other objects such as cars are just used to barricade yourself. Shoot as many explosive drums as you can before going ahead on your path since you won’t be able to come back to it anyway.

7. Level up your skills in between missions

Depending on how much money you have earned; you can level up your character’s skills in order to provide them with better stats. You gain skill points which are then allocated to Health, Armor, Speed, and Aiming.

Aside from the Z (Money) you earn, Diamonds may also be needed so use them sparingly. Focusing on attack and health at the beginning is a good choice since you want to take enemies out fast and survive in case you get hit.

You can keep doing missions until you reach a point where it gets challenging, then you can look into leveling up your skills so you can continue with your progression.

8. Complete missions and watch ads for increased rewards

Each mission in the game lets you have sub challenges that you need to complete. Having a 3-star award for each mission will provide you with the best rewards, and you’ll be able to use this for leveling up your skills.

In the results screen, you have the option to watch ads as well so you can get an increased amount. If you have time to watch it, go ahead since the extra money for skills will not hurt right?

9. Unlock your weapons by progressing missions

Weapons are unlocked based on your progression with the campaign. You can check the progress of your weapon unlocks by looking at the upper right side of the results screen during a mission. It will tell you how many campaign missions you’ll have to complete before it can be accessed at the weapon shop.

Eventually, you’ll be able to unlock all of your weapons. You can then choose which weapon is suitable for the corresponding mission such as a sword, and more. Weapons will require upgrading too so you’ll want to have access to all of them.

10. Use your movement to strafe while shooting

You wouldn’t want to sit in one place while shooting enemies since they can reach you. Not only do you need to take enemies out, but you’ll have to look out for your health. You can walk backwards while shooting, or evade by going to the left or right, and this is called Strafing.

There can be instances in the game where you have a weapon that reloads slowly and has a slow ammo capacity such as a shotgun. If you’re vulnerable while shooting, make sure to move away from your opponents. Mastering your movement will help you out a lot since it will increase your chances of survival.

With all of these tips in mind, you should be able to complete all of the missions in the game.
