At first materials can seem a little overwhelming, there is a lot going on here, and it can take some time to fully understand, but parts are super important and getting your head around how materials work in Warfare is an important step to you getting a much stronger army!

Types of Materials

Basically there are two types of material, copper and silver, the copper materials are basically trash and are good for the initial parts that you assemble, but later only silver materials will do! However, Warpath does have a nice feature which allows you to merge 100 of the same copper material to create a single silver material.

What Materials do I need?

For both copper and silver materials there are 7 different types of components or raw materials to collect:

Casting Component

Stamping Component

Machining Component

Electronic Component

Light Industry Raw Material

Chemical Raw Material

Precision Component

Silver materials of the above simply have 'Quality' labeled in front of the same names. It takes 100 of the copper materials to make one silver material.

So which ones do you need to collect? This really depends on what part you are trying to manufacture. This will often depend on which blueprints you already have. So tap the Units tab at the bottom of the game screen, then tap Blueprints, this will show you all of the parts that you can make if you have the right materials.

As you tap through all of the different blueprints, you will see the name of the part that can be made, and to which type of unit it can be assigned to. If you tap a blueprint, then tap the make button, it will show you exactly what materials you need to make the part. There is an option to receive a parts notification in your in-game mail when you have enough parts if you are short of anything.

Looking through your available blueprints will enable you to find the exact part you need to strengthen a chosen unit. For example, I'm interested in improving the firepower of my rocket launcher, so I will check through my blueprints and see if I have anything, when I find something I'll tap the make button and see it it's possible or not to make it, and see what materials I am missing.

How to Get Materials

You can get materials in a number of ways, by completing daily tasks for example. But the best way is to complete campaign missions (see our Campaigns Guide). Completing campaigns will increase the number of materials chests you will receive per hour for free. The more of these you get, the more quickly you'll be able to construct the parts you need.

As well as materials, completing campaigns also gives you essential items for leveling up your army units so get as many of these done as your level allows you to.
