The research center is another really important building, it's where you can initiate research improvements and assemble units. As you increase the level of your research building, you'll get access to more items to research, unlock more convoys for map resource collection, increase your research speed and increase building power.
Research is split into two main trees; Industry and Military.
Industrial research is based around improving your resources collection and production and military research is based around improving your unit strength and speed.
As you complete research you may find certain necessary prerequisites such as you need to be a certain level or have the research center at a certain level.
Research is essential in the game, so try to ensure that your research center is always active and completing some kind of research.
