The Canyon - Room 10

The canyon is the 10th room in Spotlight Room Escape. You have followed the clue found at the end of room 9 to this seemingly abandoned RV out in the canyon. Solve the puzzles to clear this level and find the next clue to take you to room 11.

First tap on the ground near the bushes to collect a stick. Tap the back of the vehicle and move in until you see the keys under the rear. Collect the keys.

Back up and tap the side of the vehicle to view the rear access panel. Use the keys to open it. Tap the cloth visible to open it and then collect wire cutters and a rag.

Move back to the rear of the vehicle and use the wire cutters on the straps holding the ladder. Then tap the ladder to move it. You can now climb to the roof. Once up there use the stick on the small square panel on the left to open it and collect a key.

Go back down to the side rear panel again and look inside this time to find a Repair Kit Box. Use the key to open this and collect a bottle of Engine Oil.

Back up and tap on the side door to the vehicle (tall door in the middle). You cannot open it as the lock it stuck. Combine the oil with the rag in your inventory and then combine again with the key. You can then use the key to open the door.

Inside the vehicle, collect a water bottle from below the laptop. Tap on the laptop to change the view to the left and collect a brochure from the webbing above the seats. Tap on the desk again to view the laptop screen and then tap on the blue item on the left in the file holder. Collect a Stencil.

Tap on the shelf of books above the seats and collect a wrench. Tap the books to line them up correctly. Back up to the initial view of the interior and tap on the back of the double seat that is to the left. You can just see the top of a latch there. Tap to open the latch. Tap on the laptop again to return to the view of the seats and tap them to move them forwards. Behind them you will collect a solar panel.

Back up and look to the left to view the kitchen area. Tap the top 3 cupboards above the sink to collect a cup and tin foil. Next tap on the microwave and collect a screwdriver from beside it. Combine the water bottle and the cup in your inventory to get a cup of water and then open the microwave and place the cup inside. Tap the dial to use the microwave and then open and collect a cup of hot water.

Tap the bed at the back to move to the bed area. On the bed tap the flashlight, tap again to open the battery compartment and remove the battery. Use the tin foil to place in the battery compartment to fix the contact and then replace the battery. Collect the flashlight. On the bed tap under the hat to collect a paper with a numbers hint.

Tap on the top left cupboard over the bed. This is locked with a 4x4 grid puzzle. The clue to solve it is written there also though. 3 > 1 | 3 < 4

Open the cupboard to collect a light bulb.

Back up outside the vehicle again and go to the back. Tap on the license place until you are viewing it and use the screwdriver to remove it. look inside and use the flashlight to see. Tap inside to collect some cards and a paper with a spotlight hint.

Go back inside and move to the kitchen view. Tap on the cupboard below the microwave to view the top draw locked with a 4 digit code.

Open the draw to collect battery cables.

Move to the bedroom view and tap to look to the right to see a panel for the generator. Use the spanner / wrench to remove the cover and then use the battery cables on it. Then tap the keypad to the left to view this puzzle. You need to tap the numbered buttons to connect from the 14V to the 50V.

The generator will activate.

Go up onto the room of the vehicle. Use the solar panel to place on the gap on the roof. Then tap the spotlight and use the light bulb to replace the missing one.

Tap again and the spotlight will move through a pattern of lights, a code.

You can now go back inside again and move to the bedroom view and tap on the top right cupboard. This has a another puzzle lock with a 3x3 grid. There are 3 lights to the right that need to be lit up in 3 stages.

Solution: The spotlight sequence is one clue but needs to be combined with the sequences on the paper found earlier with the 4 grids. The first grid is not needed.

Open the cupboard to see a locked box with a puzzle. Collect form the right hand side a paper with patterns on it. Collect from the left had side a scraper.

Tap on the puzzle box to view the puzzle with 2 missing pieces. Use the cards from your inventory to fix this. You can now solve this puzzle.

Solution:

Open the box to collect a USB Flash drive.

Go back outside. On the side by the door is a dirty patch. Use the cup of hot water on this to make it wet and then use the scraper to clean it. You will reveal a name.

Go to the back of the vehicle and tap on the license plate that is now on the ground to view it. Select and view the paper with the patterns on it. Notice that the grey patterns match positions on the plate. The red patterns at the top have a number order.

Go back inside to the kitchen view and tap again on the cupboard below the microwave. Now tap on the lower door. There is an 8 digit code entry. Notice the patterns above match the red patterns from the paper.

Open the door to collect a paper with names on it.

Now return to the front and tap on the laptop. Use the flash drive on it to load a set of letters on the screen. Tap to view it fully and then select the correct entry. Only one works and it corresponds to the name found above. You will need a pass code though.
