Followers are like lieutenants or ranked officers in the game. They have some degree of direct participation in combat and influence on your realm’s overall power and stats. In our Followers Guide, we will discuss how to properly manage your Followers and make them critical to your realm’s prosperity.

Refantasia: Charm and Conquer is a simulation and empire-building game where players take on the role of a Lord and attempt to forge their path in a fantasy medieval world. Choose your consorts, produce heirs/heiresses, forge alliances, and manage your kingdom and lead it to prosperity.

Followers vs Consorts

At first, it’s easy to mistake the two since most followers and all consorts are females. In this section, we’ll try to make it easier for you to distinguish the two. Basically, consorts are your partners that belong to your Harem. You make love with them and produce heirs with them. Consorts have no attributes that directly impact your realm’s power but their Charm and Intimacy towards you will have an effect on the quality (and attributes) of the heirs born from them. Additionally, consorts have Inspire bonuses applied to specific followers. Improving this “Inspire” level will improve the corresponding attributes to the Followers they inspire. When you date Consorts regularly, they’ll earn Inspire Points that can be used to boost their Inspire Level to their Followers.

Followers Guide

Followers are your officers and combatants. They play a major role in Journey Boss Battles, Arena, World Boss, and other combat modes that require direct participation. Their individual attributes also have a direct effect on the Realm’s power and stats. Leveling up all your Followers regularly will have a visible impact to your Realm’s overall productivity and martial prowess. You can’t add any Follower to your harem or have heirs with them - no matter how much you love a Follower. Followers and Consorts are destined in their assigned types; there’s no way to change a Follower to Consort or vice versa.

Level

Leveling up your Followers has direct impact to your Realm Power. As they level up, all their attributes increase as well, contributing to your Realm Power total. You can level up followers by using Gold Coins alone. However, as their level increases, the more expensive it gets to level them up. You can toggle the “Level Up x10” button to increase their level by 10s or one.

By default, all Followers will start at the “Novice” rank. This rank dictates their maximum level and talent level. For Novice, the level cap is 100 and the talent skill level cap is 50. To get past this level cap, you have to “Promote” the unit. This can be done once you’ve reached LV100 (level cap); spend the required amount of Gemstones as shown below. After the first Promotion, the Follower will be promoted to the “Pioneer” rank, increasing the level cap to 150 and Talent Skill LV to 100.

Attributes

Each follower has the following attributes: Martial, Trade, Craft, and Charisma. Leveling up a follower will improve these attributes and in turn, your realm’s power as well. The list of attributes and their effect to the various aspects of the realm is listed in the table below.

Followers Guide
Attribute Effect
Martial Fewer soldiers lost during stage battles
Trade More coins can be collected
Craft More food can be collected
Charisma More soldiers can be collected

Followers also have a stat called “Might”. This stands for their total combat power and determines how much damage they can deal against bosses or opponents. Might is calculated using this formula:

Might = Level * Martial Talent * 5000 + Martial Attribute

As you can see, the follower’s Martial Attribute directly affects their Might so while it is possible to train other followers’ attributes using Elixirs, you might still want to stick to training followers with high Martial attributes by default so you can further enhance their Might value. If you want to see which followers have high Might values, simply tap the Might tab in the Followers screen to arrange them from highest to lowest.

Talent

The Follower’s Talent for an attribute will dictate how much that attribute increases when leveling them up. The follower’s talent icons are displayed in the top-left corner of their portrait. To see their talents in detail, open the Follower Details screen then tap the “Talent” button in the bottom-left corner.

From there, you should see all talents available to the follower. The number of stars corresponding to the talent skill indicates how much the skill value will increase when you level up the talent skill. The Follower’s ideal talents will have the most stars and obviously, the best ones to level up for that character. The skill level is determined by the Follower’s rank (see the Level Up section above). By default, you can only level up a skill up to LV50. By promoting the Follower, his/her talent skill level cap will be increased to LV100 and so on.

Followers Guide

Leveling up a talent can be done using the following:

Talent Level Up Item Chance Source
Craft Scroll Varies by the number of stars of the talent skill. The lower the stars, the higher the level up chance but at the cost of a lower amount increased. Randomly obtained from Blank Scrolls
Omni Scroll 100% Obtained from Events
5 Star Skill Book 100% Obtained from Events
Talent EXP 100% Training Field, Alliance, Value Packs, Events

Elixirs and Inspire Skills

Elixirs are consumables that can be used to artificially boost Follower attributes. There are elixirs for specific attributes and a Chaos Elixir that will boost a random attribute. Furthermore, these elixirs have a tiers which determine the attribute value they’ll boost. It is highly recommended to use these elixirs regularly so that they’ll contribute to your realm’s total power.

Some Followers have direct connection to specific consorts through their Inspire Skills. As you date your consorts, they’ll earn Inspire Points. You can use those points to level up the Followers’ Inspire Skill. In this example, Sharlian is tied to the consort Jaldo.

Other Attributes

Finally, we have these two attributes. Duel Skills increases Blast Chance and Blast Damage in the Arena. Aura on the other hand, is only available to a select few Followers. Aura can provide a percentage bonus to follower attributes.
