App gamer became my go-to for this as some objects are extremely hard to see on a phone screen. It's a nice idea but everything you've read about the energy issues is true. It is extremely heavy on HOPs and some circumstances are really inane, like the resident doctor is treating you for head trauma but makes you go through an HOP to find her equipment. Some of the voice acting is not awful but the main character is not one of them. It really sounds like a bunch of friends got together to do the voices regardless of acting ability, and the clarity is inconsistent. TBF the main character articulates nicely but is not acting. Graphics are nice but cutscenes are done in a very amateurish comic book style that I thought detracted from the overall video quality. But worst is that you get nickel and dimed to death if you want to play for more than a few minutes. They don't even warn you that the very slow energy refill cuts off at 200 and that if you go above that either by waiting, watching insanely repetitive ads, or shelling out money, the automatic refills stop. I have games that I've been happy to pay the flat fee of $5.99 or so, as I would have, but this issue ends my engagement with Nordcurrent. You need literally thousands of energy "points" to get through the game and they dock you if you touch the screen too many times in one area during a HOP, very unfair as the screen's sensitivity on HOPs and scene transitions is very inconsistent.
30 energy’s to do basic stuff is way too much! The energy use should be a set number like 1 since it takes forever to get more. The game is interesting but I think ima gonna delete the app since the energy issue
A bit tedious. I'm finding I don't care anymore about who dies and who the killer is. I just want to complete it and move on.
It's fun, the energy is a pain in the rear end though...
Terrible. Amateur storytelling. The biggest criticism is that the game is called Murder by Choice. 80% of the “choices” were already decided. You could choose A and the game would say “ we’re going to do B instead”. So the entire premise of the game being a choice adventure was a complete lie.
Good game just very costly. And if you purchase energy it doesn’t keep accumulating every so many minutes. They would be better off offering a paid version and cutting back on energy costs for free version. I would give more stars but it’s too costly with energy and purchases go buy a new Xbox or PlayStation game it’s much cheaper.
Not happy, feel as though I've literally wasted time on this game - only to be stopped in my tracks by the basement security door. There's no way I can enter the code as the game just doesn't respond to anything I do! Nothing works & now I can't proceed any further.
Game has frozen so can’t move on, very frustrating.
