The grand prize this time is a Swamp Monster board token alongside 5,000 dice rolls and a swap pack. Bu there is loads more to be won as you play through the event and complete the five milestones of each of the four builds with your partners.

Every point on the four builds comes from the partner wheel, the wheel only runs on event tokens, and the tokens only come from the banner events and tournaments running alongside. So the five days ahead are really about how efficiently you farm those events. This guide covers where the tokens come from and roughly how many you'll need.

Head over to our Monopoly Go forum to line up some partners before the event goes live.

One build takes 80,000 points, so all four comes to 320,000 across the team. This ladder is carried over from the last partners event and we're expecting it to hold, but Scopely can still adjust the numbers before the event goes live, so check them in game once it starts.

How to play Monster Mash Partners

  • Find some partners from your friends list. Pre-arranging with people you know from a forum (such as our AppGamer Monopoly GO Forum) is far more reliable than accepting whoever turns up, as is going back to players you've partnered with successfully before.
  • Collect partner event tokens.
  • Spin the partner wheel to put points onto your builds.

You can play Monster Mash Partners with a single random partner, but you'll only ever complete one build that way, and the Dairy Express token needs all four. There's no partial credit on the grand prize β€” three finished builds gets you three sets of milestone rewards and no token.

Choose carefully, because you can't swap partners once you've accepted. A partner who stops logging in on day two leaves that build frozen where they left it for the remaining three days, and there's nothing you can do from your side.

You don't need all four slots filled on day one though. One partner is enough to start building, and you can add the rest at any point while the event is running.

How to get more Monster Mash Partners event tokens

Most of your tokens will come from the main banner event. Before you start spending, it's worth pulling up the milestone lists for whatever banner event and tournament are running β€” head to our daily events page and pick the current or upcoming event to see the full rewards breakdown. Knowing where the token payouts sit in a list is what tells you how deep into it you actually need to go.

  • Shop reward

Tap the three lines at the top of the game, enter the shop, then scroll the top panel right about four times. The eight hour reward is there, or the timer will tell you when to come back for it.

  • Quick Wins

Completing the individual quick wins every day is another solid source of tokens. They're generally easy to clear and reset daily at 9 AM ET.

  • Tycoon Club

There are daily rewards to claim at the Tycoon Club. Check the shop and benefits tabs β€” during a partners event these rewards can include tokens.

  • Game Board

Event tokens are scattered around the game board. Land on one and you'll get tokens equivalent to the number of dice you threw that turn, so the board pickups are worth more when your multiplier is already up.

  • Tournaments

There's a new tournament every day or two. While Monster Mash Partners is running, some tournament milestones pay out event tokens, and you can pick up more by finishing high enough on the leaderboard. Check the full list on our daily events page first.

  • Main banner events

A new main event lands front and center on the board every 2-3 days. Certain milestones in these hand out free event tokens while the partners event is live. Again, the full rewards list is on our daily events page.

  • From your partners

If one of your partners lands on the partner segment when they spin, tokens can come your way. Open your friends tab and click timeline to see whether any have arrived.

  • Free Monster Mash Partners token links

When free token links appear in a partner event, they usually arrive towards the back end of the run. We check every day, and anything that gets released goes up on our free dice links page.

Event and Tournament Strategy for Monster Mash Partners

Only events that start at the same time as or after Monster Mash Partners will carry partner tokens. Anything already running before 1 PM ET on September 15 gives you nothing towards these builds, so the first thing to check on day one is what's actually live and when it started. The tournament and banner event that were running through the weekend fall on the wrong side of that line β€” wait for the changeover rather than burning dice on them.

The trap in any partners event is that your dice feed the banner event and the tournament at the same time. Tournaments last about a day, banner events two or three, so you'll cycle through two or three tournaments inside a single banner. Push hard for a tournament placing on the first day and your banner progress gets dragged along with it β€” you can find yourself deep into a banner milestone list while that banner still has two days left to run.

The reason that matters is the shape of the token payouts. They're front-loaded. Tokens show up at reasonable intervals through the early and middle milestones, then the points required per milestone start climbing and the gaps between token drops widen out at the same time. Around milestone 31 in a main banner event is where I stop finding the trade worthwhile β€” past that point I'm paying noticeably more dice per token collected. Take the tournament milestones that actually pay, then leave the rest.

This is the third partners event of the season and the last one, which pulls your dice in two directions at once. Three weeks have passed since ACME Farm Partners, so reserves have had longer to recover than they did going into that one, but those same three weeks have been the run-in to the album deadline and a lot of people have been spending on pack chasing rather than banking rolls. Work out early whether you realistically have the dice to contribute a fair share to four builds. If you don't, that's better known on day one than day four, because it changes who you should be partnering with and how honest you need to be with them about it.

The season ending also changes what the ladder is worth. In the last partners event the sticker packs were the weaker half of the reward and the board token was the reason to finish. This time the two star yellow and four star blue packs are among the last pack drops you'll get before the album shuts on September 23, and the wild sticker in the grand prize drops into whichever gap you still can't fill any other way. If you're close to completing sets, the rewards further down the ladder are pulling real weight rather than topping up an album you've got weeks left to finish.

Monster Mash Partners FAQs

Here are a few FAQs gained from playing numerous Monopoly Go partner events.

How many event tokens do I need to spin the wheel?

A single spin at x1 costs 20 tokens, so 20 is the minimum before you can do anything at all. Higher multipliers cost proportionally more β€” x3 takes 60 tokens and x5 takes 100 β€” and pay out proportionally larger point totals per spin. Scopely rotates through a few different wheel layouts in partners events and which one we've got usually isn't clear until the event opens, so treat any multiplier plan as provisional until you've seen it.

Is this the last partners event of the season?

Nope, we are still quite early in the season, so expect more before the season ends.

Did my leftover Ghostbusters Partners tokens carry over?

No. Partner tokens don't roll from one event into the next. Anything you were still holding when Ghostbusters Partners closed was converted into game cash at the time, and Monster Mash Partners starts you from zero on a fresh token type.

Can I get the Swamp Monster token any other way?

Not through this event. The token sits behind completing all four builds, and board tokens tied to a partners event generally don't return afterwards. If you want Swamp Monster, the four builds are the route.

Why am I not getting many partner tokens from the banner event?

Partner tokens only sit at certain milestones, not all of them, and they get sparser the further up you climb. If you've already pushed a long way into a banner list, there's a fair chance you've collected most of what it had to give. The other possibility is timing β€” a banner event that started before 4 PM ET on October 21 won't carry tokens for this partners event at all.

Should I complete each build individually first?

Some people work through partner events one build at a time with one partner. I don't play it that way. As long as I have enough dice to be confident of contributing at least half of a completed build, I add all my partners early and spread points across all four, aiming to at least keep pace with what each partner is putting in.

Some previous partner events, such as Fountain Partners, had free token links go out. If any appear for this one we'll find them and post them on our free dice links page, which we update daily with free dice links too.

What happens to my leftover tokens when the event ends?

Any unused Monster Mash Partners tokens still in your account when the event closes get converted into game cash. How much you receive depends on your Net Worth level and how many tokens you're holding at the time.
