Stats Overview
As gamers, we’re all familiar with some basic recurring stats and abbreviations like HP is for health, MP for mana/magic, ATK for attack, DEF for defense, and so on. While a majority of games incorporate this model, some developers use their creativity to add some unique or uncommon stats or attributes for their game.In Chrono Astraea, some familiar stats will be present but some stats need further coverage and details. We will tackle these down below.
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Power | General rating of all stats |
ATK | Determines the amount of damage dealt by the character |
DEF | Reduces incoming damage to the character |
Health | If a character’s HP runs out, the character is knocked out . |
Mana | Used to cast skills and regenerates during battle. |
Focus | This affects the character’s Critical Hit Rate and Critical Hit Damage (see 1 below) |
Agility | This affects the character’s Evade rate and Accuracy rate (see 2 below) |
Mind | This affects the character’s Debuff Evade Rate and Debuff Accuracy Rate (see 3 below) |
1) The Focus stat is a reference value that’s calculated when your character’s Crit Hit Rate and Crit DMG rates are compared to the enemy’s. If both the player’s character and enemy have the same critical rate, the one with the higher focus will have a higher crit rate. The opponent will have its crit rate and dmg reduced after this calculation.
2) The Agility stat is a reference value that’s calculated when your character’s Evade Rate and Accuracy rates are compared to the enemy’s. If both the player’s character and enemy have the same evade or accuracy rate, the one with the higher Agility will have a higher evade or accuracy rate. The opponent will have its evade or accuracy rate reduced after this calculation.
3) The Mind stat is a reference value that’s calculated when your character’s debuff evade rate and debuff accuracy rates are compared to the enemy’s. If both the player’s character and enemy have the same debuff evade rate and debuff accuracy rate, the one with the higher Mind stat will have a higher debuff evade rate and debuff accuracy rate. The opponent will have its debuff evade rate and debuff accuracy rates reduced after this calculation.
Elemental Attributes
The game has five different elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Light and Dark. They follow a weapon triangle system where one element deals 50% more damage to the other. Referring on the diagram below, it is displayed that:* Fire strong vs Earth
* Earth strong vs Water
* Water strong vs Fire
* Light and Dark are strong against each other.
On top of these bonus damage based on elemental attributes, some skills and leader skills directly affect any character belonging to the same elemental attribute. Adjust your team composition accordingly, especially when dealing with specific enemies with elemental bonuses.
