I keep getting messages saying my ally thanked me for my support but there are no reports or rally calls in the alliance chat boxes. Why is this?

If you help other players in the alliance, iAlliance, help, it works

The question is asking about why those messages pop up, are we missing something where we can thank others back? is it automatic based on some other trigger? I think the OP and I are looking to find out if we have not missed something and are being rude to our fellow alliance members because we haven't clicked something which thanks others for helping us
