Unsolved Case Episode 1 Murderous Talent is the first of the mystery puzzle adventure games from Do Games. In this game you play as a successful Detective called to investigate a murder scene and follow the leads to solve the crime.
You will need to check everything in the scene to spot clues and gather the evidence you need. Then also solve tricky puzzles to help you progress. This game also offer the option to place through match 3 puzzles in some areas instead of completing puzzles, we will focus on guiding you through the puzzles here in this walkthrough.
Episode 1 - Find Evidence in Otto's Office
First tap on the bookshelf to the right of the desk to seem some boxes.
Collect from the top shelf a Disassembled Jack. And a Tower Mockup.
Next use the house shaped key ring on the box on the lower shelf to open it. You will then get a puzzle to solve.
Hints:
- The puzzle has 3 hands that you can move to point at the shapes.
- There are 4 circles around the outside that are each made up of 3 of the shapes.
- Starting with circle 1, find the 3 matching shapes and select them with the hands.
- Do this with the 4 circles.

Collect from inside a photo that will be added to your notes and also an Architectural Compass.
Next view a shelf on the left wall just to the left of the window. You can see that Otto was a successful architect. Use the compass to retrieve the coin stuck in the back.
Now back out of the office and the building to the street. Then tap to view the cafe table on the left again .
Tap the bell to ring it and a waiter will appear, he will ask for money. Place the 3 coins into his hand.
You will now have food delivered, this is a puzzle.
Food hidden object scene
Hints:
- In this puzzle you need to find the hidden objects given by the clues.
- The clues are words that are anagrams of the real object names.
- The Correct object names can be seen below.
- You can also watch the video to help you find the items.

Once done you will get to collect a Table Napkin. Now view the large planted bush on the right of the street scene.
Use the napkin on the spiky branches on the lower left to move them and collect some wire and an umbrella button.
Next view the umbrella in your inventory and add the button to it. the Umbrella will extend.
Go back inside the building to the lobby area and then tap to view the shelf on the right again.
You can now use the umbrella on the red bag hanging on the top left, this will let you collect a Cup and an Awl.
Exit the building to the street and look in the back of the open Truck again. Use the Awl on the bag of gypsum to make holes and empty it so that you can see behind.
Collect from the box a note (evidence).
Then also collect a pen (Notepad with pen 1 or 2), and a 'Broken Dummy'.
Now go back to the planted bush and use the 'Broken dummy' on the glowing area on the right. You can then collect a Lantern Mockup.
Head back inside and return to Otto's Office. Then view the model on the desk in the center.
Add to the model the lantern mock up and the Tower Mock up. This then starts a puzzle.
Mock up Model Puzzle
- There are 8 lanterns on the right to place onto the model.
- The model has a range of paths that need to be illuminated.
- Each lantern will light up the paths in lines up, down, left and right of itself.
- You can tap the red button to test what paths will be lit up at any time.
- Place the lanterns so that every path is fully lit.

You can now collect another note from an open panel and an award trophy.
View the shelf to the left of the window again with the other awards. Place the trophy on the lower shelf and a secret compartment will open.
Collect the Scarf from inside and also a Jack Lever. View the jack in your inventory and add to it the lever and the wire. This will assemble a working Jack.
Exit to the street again and view the back of the truck to see a drain grate that you cannot get to.
Use the jack here to life the truck and then you can collect a Sculpture fragment.
Go back into the lobby and view the statue on the left. There is a part missing.
Add the fragment to it and then you can collect a ruler. Go back into Otto's Office and tap to view the drafting table on the back wall.
Add the ruler to it to start another puzzle.
Architectural Drawing Puzzle
Hints:
- You will see a design drawing in the back ground with a set of green symbols overlaid on top.
- The green symbols can be moved around by moving the sliders on the ruler.
- Find the symbols that are sown at the bottom of the screen and align them with the matching area of the drawing to then collect them.
Some if the symbols are very small so you will need to zoom in or use a large screen device to be able to see them.
Once done you can collect a Statue of Liberty Drawing.
Now on the left wall again is a lamp and a safe. View this,
Add the drawing to the hook on the lower left and the safe door will open. Collect from inside a Pistol and then view the blueprints that are there. They aren't Otto's.
An assailant will then hit you and take the blueprints. When you come to again tap the open window to examine it and you will find a piece of torn paper with a clue.
You then get a message that the Post Mortem Report is ready. You return to the police station.
This completes the task to Find evidence in Otto's Office. You now get a new Task: Identify the Murderer.
