7 Knights Idle Adventure Tier List
Balance is the key in these kinds of game where you need to create a team of heroes. A team consisting of just one class will not perform as well as a mixed team with lots of different complimentary strengths. So bear that in mind when working on your team and using a tier list.
Also remember that this Tier List is just our opinion, other sites may have a different one, and you, the reader, may also have a different opinion too. This is is more of a guide, as opposed to us saying 'These characters are definitely the best!'
We've broken our tier list down into groups based on the hero's classification; Legendary and Unique. Because there are currently 160 heroes with more to be added in future updates, it's probably not worth trying to classify the lower rarity heroes because getting Uniques is not too difficult.
Also, while legendaries should dominate an overall character tier list, it's not worth just creating a tier list of all characters, because the legendaries are significantly harder to get. So we thought it would be best to create two separate lists for each of the top rarity classifications. And within that, we try to rank for the type of hero too (Melee, Defense, Support, Ranged) as ideally you want to have a good mix of all of these types in your team.
Ok, here is our try and trying to give some clarity about who are the best heroes in 7 Knights Idle Adventure and why!
7 Knights Idle Adventure Legendary Tier Lists
Let's first look at the legendary heroes in this game, here you will find our tier lists for the best heroes in the game that are legendary, according to their skill type.
Legendary Melee Heroes Tier List
With three new Legendary Melee characters added, there are currently 19 heroes in this classification. The only way to differentiate these heroes is by their skill and their attack speed, prior to Sun Wukong being added to the Roster, Rachel was our #1 favorite hero in 7 Knights Idle, but his addition to the game makes up rip up the old tier list and place him firmly in 1st place..
There are some in this category with 100 or less attack speed. Attack speed makes a big difference to how much damage gets done during a battle, so it's important to take note of this important stat when trying to work out who is the best legendary attacker in the game.

Our #1 hero in this classification and in the whole game is Sun Wukong, added in the Nov 30 update, he looks to the the strongest character by far with his 3500% attack skill and powerful paralysis debuff.
This demotes Rachel to second. If you pull her somehow in the game, make sure that you pile in your resources to level her up the most you can. But also remember to team her with good support and defense units to give her the protection she needs to fight for you. Her attack all enemies is strong and also continues to inflict more damage over time with the burn effect.
Not too far behind for us is Ace, he starts off with a low attack speed but has an incredibly powerful skill delivering 900% attack damage and evokes a great buff on a successful hit. Super Strong hero.
For us, Misha is the fourth best legendary melee hero in 7 Knights, she has the second highest base attack speed of 166 and an incredibly strong skill which does 700% damage of the enemy attack!
The fifth spot we think belongs to Jave, his AoE (attack all enemies) is very useful when you are fighting against tough monsters in a level. And while it is nowhere near as the 700% damage that Misha inflicts, it is at least hitting multiple enemies at the same time.
Our sixth pick is Ingrid, with a very power single enemy attack, like Misha, the Frostbite debuff which last for 10 seconds is also very strong. The reason why she is fourth though and not any higher in our tier list is that she has a lot less attack speed than others higher in this list.
Newly added to the Roster is the legendary melee hero, Feng Yan, although he has a incredibly powerful 700% attack, so do a couple of others in this tier, he also has a comparatively low attack speed.
His unique Gigantic Sword skill does give keen attack, which is interesting, by only affects other melee units, giving them an increased critical hit rate of 20% for 5 seconds. A strong hero no doubt, but for me, not enough to break into the top of our tier list for melee legendary heroes.

Legendary Ranged Heroes Tier List
With 16 heroes to choose from in this collection, we give you our selection of the top 6 characters in the game. As with the other categories, the only difference between the characters initially is the attack speed and skill.
As ranged units, attack speed is really important in defining who will make it to the top of our tier list, as will an evaluation of the hero's skill.

The new hero Rin takes the top spot in our tier list for ranged legendary heroes in 7 Knights Idle Adventure. Just take a look at her skill to know why. The damage level is incredible, especially for a ranged unit. She'll definitely be making it into our top 10 best heroes list at the bottom of this article.
Kyrielle is our second pick in this category for his super fast speed, coupled with a strong attack against a single opponent and the attack increase buff makes him better than Sebastian who may have a stronger attack, but is not as fast and does not have the attack buff either.
Meg is our third choice, the AoE is good, and the stun debuff is really helpful too. Her speed is high too, which is part of the reason we've put her above Sebastian.
While Sebastian's attack speed is lower than some others in this category, his skill is formidible and one of the strongest in the game, if not the strongest. The 880% attack at it's base level is crazy and will add a powerful punch to your team... Just wish he was a tad faster!
Bane we can see has being a super useful character in any team. His Overcome Death skill will get many teams out of sticky situations, and provide that last ditch attempt at clearing monsters or a boss when he revives. He's definitely worth a mention in this tier list because of that skill, but his attacks will not be as strong as others in our list as his skill does not increase his attack, which is a major downside to this character.
We've added Salem to the bottom of our tier list of top characters in this tier.
If you are looking for a strong character against melee types, then Kagura is your girl as she has a 50% damage buff against them.

There are four heroes in this classification, they all have the same starting stats except for attack speed, and they all have a different skill too.

Rudy is our top pick for legendary defense heroes in 7 Knights. We prefer his active skill which is 'By the Will of Light', we felt this was the most tanky skill when compared to the others in this category. Seeing as we will be going for a mixed team, we felt that the best hero in this category had to be the one with the strongest defense, and it will just get stronger as you level him up.
Lucrezia's skill is really valuable too offering good protection so we'd also classify that as a really good tanky skill too.
Lu Bu, added to Seven Knights Idle in November 2023, we really like also, his good attack speed and power plus the fact you could pretty easily get his shards when he was released into the game makes him a great character to go after. We have him in our own game's team roster currently because we were able to easily get some shards to level him up to 1 star.
Don't be disappointed if you pull either of the other two legendary defensive heroes, they will still do a great job for, just for the mere fact they are legendary. Mirage's Close Combat Skill is very strong and while adding to your defense in terms of her base stats and abilites, this strong active skill will help out in your offense a lot too.

There are 6 heroes to select from that are classified as legendary and support. We take a look at which characters have the best skills and which ones will help the other units in your team to be even stronger.

Our top pick in this category of support heroes that are legendary is Seaton, he has a very powerful skill that will recover allie's HP and remove all debuffs. As a support team member this makes him the best by a mile in our opinion because he will be keeping the other team members alive for longer.
Lania is our second pick, because she will also be giving valuable help to the team with her immunity skill.

Best Legendary Team
Now you've seen our top picks from each of the legendary categories, here is our top pick for a team of 6 if you are lucky enough to have six legendaries!

We know you start the game with 5 slots and can get up to 10, but we thought 6 would be a decent number to stop at. We would have loved to put another tank in there such as Lucrezia but we thought a more offensive team would be better overall, epecially since Sun Wukong, Rachel, Rin and Ace are all formidable, we just could not leave any out. Seaton definitely has the teams back with his Ahri Research skill which recovers the teams HP by 25%.

7 Knights Idle Adventure Unique Tier Lists
Unique rarity heroes are much more obtainable in the game, and for most players will be a lot easier to level up and acquire shards to increase their star level for.
Uniques are not generally as strong as legendaries, but if they are unobtainable for you, uniques offer a great option, especially for free to play gamers. Shards are relatively easy to get and if you get the right ones and construct a well balanced team, uniques will be able to get you far in the game until you pick up a couple of legendaries later on.
Unique Melee Heroes Tier List
There are currently 12 heroes in this classification, and considering they are not legendary, some of them are actually great choices if you are lucky enough to get them. One of the newer heroes, Mao Song takes our top spot due to his stun skill even though he is slower than some in the same class.

It's pretty tight at the top of this list between Sieg and Shane, we think these these two are the best in this category. What we really like about Sieg is his AoE skill as well as his fast speed of attack, this is just what puts him in first place for us above of Shane.
This was all before Mao Song came along, and he's pipped them both to first position in that category i our opinion!
Shane we think is a very strong attack and is really fast too. To be fair, both of these two are almost as good as legendary melee characters.
If Heavenia was faster, maybe we should have ranked her better because her attack is incredibly strong, as is Jane's.

We actually are not so keep on the other ranged unique heroes in the game, which is why we stopped our analysis at just three for this category!
Jupy is our top pick, similar to Rachel in the legendary category, Jupy has a high speed of 200, and her attack is almost as strong. For a unique level character, Jupy packs a big punch and is better than a lot of legendaries in our opinion.
Snipper is almost as good, a little slower but a very strong AoE attack over 2m around the target. Another character that is as good as some in the legendary category.

Evan is our top pick in this category, his skill is both attack and defense so he'll be a great asset to any team, his speed is also pretty decent too. In second place we picked Hellenia, the veil skill is really useful and she is fast too.
