Stardew Valley: Community Center Upgrade Guide

By Paul | Updated: Jan 18th 2024

There are a lot of places you can find at the main town in Stardew Valley. One of them is the Community Center just north of the main town. Upon entering, you'll find a place that is quite run down as if it hasn't been maintained for a long time. On this page, we'll be checking how you can restore the Community Center, as well as the benefits you can get from it!

What is the Community Center in Stardew Valley?

The Community Center is a building that you'll find just north of Pierre's General Store. From Spring 5th onward, you can activate a cutscene as long as you come into town from the path near the bus stop (right side of your farm). Visit the Community Center on a day that isn't raining from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Upon entering, you'll find a cutscene where a strange little creature runs away from you. Mayor Lewis will tell you that this is the Community Center, and it used to be in better condition. The Mayor will then leave this place unlocked.

The Rat Problem Quest: Mayor Lewis won't notice the creature you saw, and he thinks there's a rat problem. Once Mayor Lewis leaves, you'll be able to complete a quest about this building. Re-enter the community center and go to the lower left room. A scroll can be picked up from there. On the next day, the Wizard will invite you to his tower so he can help you to read it. You can now read the golden scrolls at the community center left by the creatures called the Junimos.

You will notice that there are different rooms in the Community Center, and reading the scrolls will let you see bundles where you will have to donate items in order to complete them. Your main goal for the community center is to complete these bundles so that the Junimos can restore different areas.

Note: If you purchased a JojaMart membership from Morris, the community center will be replaced with the Joja Warehouse instead, and you will only need money to complete this building.

How to complete the Community Center bundles in Stardew Valley

When interacting with the Golden scrolls in the community center, you'll be able to see different bundles where you can offer items that are needed. Completing these items will let the Junimos (the little creatures) fix a specific room, plus you can acquire a reward as well.
