Next Steps
Star Wars: Commander Guide
Once you have passed the tutorial, you should focus on a few key areas. Most importantly, try to upgrade all of your resource collectors and ensure you have as many as you can manage. After you've done this, you can concentrate on upgrading your HQ. This will unlock more buildings, allow for more resources to be collected and stored, and let you have greater numbers of defensive turrets.
At this stage, remember that your base cannot be attacked. You have a two-day grace period where you are protected by a defensive shield so other players cannot attack you. As soon as you attack them, however, the shield is removed and they can get you back, or other players can ransack your base and steal your resources.
Perhaps the other key thing at this point is to try to get a third Droid. It is very hard to earn Crystals for free, but you will probably have around 350 Crystals, meaning you will need another 150 to get a third Droid. Just bear it in mind and try to save them. Eventually, by completing missions, clearing debris and making sure you have linked all your social accounts to the game, you may just have enough.
When your defenses are in order, you can attack another player. You are able to preview their base before committing to the attack, so if it looks too tough, just take the hit on the Credits that it costs to scout, and check out the next one. Once you've found a base you like the look of, deploy your units and give it your best shot. This is the ideal way to get an influx of resources - but as mentioned, once you attack, you are likely to get retaliatory strikes and other players coming to your base too.
