Masteries
RAID: Shadow Legends Guide
Masteries in RAID Shadow Legends are character buffs that each champion is able to gain through applying special in game items called skill scrolls that work like skill points to let you define some aspects of your character build in 3 categories. Offfense, Defense and Support. However you can only unlock masteries in 2 of the 3 categories so you must decide which of them you want your character to specialise in.
You can view and assign the skill scrolls by selecting a character in the Champions menu and tapping the Masteries Tab. Each Champion can only obtain a maximum of 100 basic scrolls, 600 advanced scrolls, and 950 divine scrolls. These will be acquired in that order, so you won't receive any advanced scrolls until until you have received all your basic scrolls, and then on to the divine scrolls.
The scrolls are obtained from the minotaur dungeon. After each run of the minotaur dungeon, one champion from your team will be randomly chosen to receive mastery scrolls. As mentioed above each champion has a maximum scrolls they can get, once a champion has received all their mastery scrolls they will not be eligible to receive scrolls, and other champions in your team will receive them.
Once you have picked your 2 categories and taken a mastery in the two skill trees, the third skill tree becomes locked. Each category has 6 tiers of mastery with each tier requiring a set number of scrolls to unlock each skill. There are not enough scrolls to unlock all of the skills so again you need to choose what you want to assign for each character.
The cost of each tier of mastery is as follows:
Tier 1: 5 basic scrolls
Tier 2: 30 basic scrolls
Tier 3: 80 advanced scrolls
Tier 4: 120 advanced scrolls
Tier 5: 200 divine scrolls
Tier 6: 350 divine scrolls
Masteries become considerably more difficult to obtain as you progress. Tier one is unlocked easily but gainina the divine scrolls for tiers 5 and 6 will take a lot of farming. The minotaur run will drop fewer advanced scrolls than basic, and fewer divine than advanced.
