(Spoiler): What happens if I were to blame Mrs Bird at the end?

Mrs. Bird says that she is not the murderer and she is hurt that you would think so. Jax wakes up and then says that he doesn't think that to be true and the story line continues to find out that Mrs. Bird was the wrong choice and Margot was the killer

But it's misleading because in the chapter where you have to put Rubens food in a lunchbox the food on the plate changes. Before you leave for the lunchbox the food looks one way (Carla takes a photo of this). After you return the food on the plate where only Mrs bird was different. I thought this was a major indicator she was the murderer but was disappointed when it was just the game developers being sneaky.
