I’m on level 17. Now, in my tasks, it wants trees. I didn’t have a clue. Then one of the boxes that you receive at the end of a level, gave me all these tree seeds, but they’re all “locked down”. Where do I get “fresh” ones to unlock them?

You get the seeds from a blue seedling pot. If you have broken brown pieces of a pot, merge them and you get the pot. Not sure where you can find the the pieces apart from the pot chest.
The seedling pot will give you bags of seeds, merge them to get the seeds.
Press the blue i (information) that's in the top left corner before the name of the item. Hope this helps.
