How to Get More Free Shovels in Monopoly Go
In this guide, we tell you all of the ways to get free shovels in Monopoly Go that can be used in dig events such as Spring Treasures.
Note: Dig events only run from time to time, usually for four days every three or four weeks so if you are not seeing one in your game right now, check out our all events explained page to see if there is one coming soon.
Getting more shovels, is exactly the same as getting more pickaxes, so if you already know those methods from other dig events such as Sunset Treasures, then all of this will be quite familiar to you.
How to Get More Free Shovels in Monopoly Go
In order to play Spring Treasures you need shovels (some players are referring to these as pickaxes) to break the squares the find the treasure and grab the rewards.
But like in Prize Drop the tokens that you use in the event can be quite hard to come by.
Here are all of the ways that you can get more free pickaxes in Monopoly GO.
- Events and Tournaments
While a dig event such as Spring Treasures is active, the events and tournaments currently running will usually offer shovels at certain milestones.
Check out the milestone rewards list related to the current events to see where they are located and how many shovels you can get. Main solo events are the best place to get more shovels, but tournaments are also good but you may not get as many.
- Quick Wins
There are new Quick Wins posted every day and while a dig event are running, some of the rewards will include shovels or pickaxes. Check out our Quick Wins page for details on how to play and what other rewards you can get in these daily tasks.
- Shop Gifts
Check out the shop by tapping on the three lines at the top right of the game page, the scroll the top panel over to the right as far as it will go to reveal the eight hourly free shop gift. While these dig events are running you may get some free pickaxes or shovels as part of this free gift pack.

Are There Any Free Shovel Links?
No, usually items such as pickaxes are never given away in links. So far we've only seen free rolls, sticker packs and partner tokens given out by free links.
