Level 6: The Evening Star
Defenders Guide
At this point in the game, most of us players will all have quite a different card setup, depending upon luck, how much grinding you've already done up to this point and what cards you have decided to forge or evolve.
Here are the main cards I'm relying on at the moment:
Mortar: Great for long range attacks and hitting bunched enemies such as scarescrows at it will target a close group, not just one individual enemy.
Accursed Tower: This tower is used at the start of a run to curse the enemies so that they will be more vulnerable to damage
Fire Tower: I place this just after the Acursed Tower for a good hit on groups that pass close by. I have this one evolved twice and at max level.
Ice Tower: I use this within a batch of Fire Towers to slow down the enemy so they are exposed to the Fire Towers for a longer time.
Slingshot: Maxed out and fully evolved. This is what I am using for aerial defense. I have Air Guard but it is not evolved and only level 1 so it is not as strong. Later in the game, the Air Guard is a great way to defend against flying enemies.
Siege Tower: I have this one maxed at level 5 and fully evolved. It's super strong for this point in the game, but targets just one enemy and is a bit slow.
At this point in the game I'm no longer using the wooden tower, poison tower or slowing tower - they are too basic.
If you don't have some of the above cards, it may be worth grinding a few times in the Primezone to try to acquire some - it's good to have a strong foundation at this point as it will get harder to complete the primezone raids later on and gain more cards.
The map for this level is pretty spread out and you need to destroy all totems and not use the wooden tower for the achievement bonuses.
I tend to spread my towers out a bit so they are not all aiming for the same thing at the same time - except my slingshots - I bunched them all up and maxed them out over the course of the level.
