Level 3: Temple of the Old Gods

After completing level 2 you would have been given the slingshot. This is the first basic air defence card which only targets flying enemies.

The wooden towers attack land and air enemies.

Level 3 sees the introduction of flying enemies - Harpies - pretty strong birds. Use the slingshot to kill these so it will allow the wooden tower to concentrate on land based enemies.

At the start of the level you are prompted to sell a wooden tower to buy a slingshot. It doesn't really matter which one you sell (probably best to sell is the first on near the entrance as it will only damage the enemy on the way out, the other two will hit the enemy on multiple passes). But you may want to consider placing the slingshot on one of the useful anomalies. Eg the wings - for enhanced speed.

On this levels there are also totems - Smash these (with wooden towers) to release prime which you can use to build more towers.

The achievements on this level are complete the level using just one catapult (so pick placement carefully - use an anomaly) and destroy all totems.

It's useful to complete the achievements to maximise your silver to purchase towers later on in the game.

TIP: It's sometimes really hard - or impossible to get three stars and all achievements in one run. Sometimes its good to try for the achievements then play the level and go for the three stars. Or it may be the case you have to revisit the level later, when you have better cards to try to get the three stars.

TIP: When you are on the final wave and running low on prime but desperately need more towers, sell any towers that you won't need for the final wave (or remaining enemies). This could be all air targeting towers, or all towers which the final enemy has passed and will not pass by again. This will release a nice stash of emergency prime to reuse on towers which you can place in front of the final enemies. Pause the game while you make your reshuffles!
