One of the best ways to gain strength and abilities in Beast Lord is to gain Alphas. The Alphas are the Heroes of the game that will lead troops in battle or buff your base operations. They will be essential to your success as you reach the higher levels of the game.

Recruiting the best Alphas is hard to do when you start out but over time will be come easier. Our Alpha guide will help you understand how to get Alphas and how to use the effectively.

When you start the game a few Alphas will join you during the tutorial phase and once you build the Alpha Nest you will be able to recruit more. But what are the uses of the Alphas and how do you get the best ones?

Types of Alphas

There are 2 types of Alphas that you get in the game and 4 rarity levels. The 2 types are Develop Alphas and Combat Alphas.

The rarity levels are shown in the colours, Green, Blue, Purple and Orange. Orange Alphas are the best in the game. As a new game the number of Orange Alphas is limited at the moment, but more will be added to the game over time.

Alphas and Summoning Guide

Recruiting Alphas

Once you build the Alpha Nest building you will be able to use Summoning Bait to summon new Alphas to your territory. Alphas can be recruited from 3 sections: Normal Summoning (blue bait), Advance Summoning (purple bait) and Supreme summoning (orange bait).

With each type of Bait there are different chances to get heroes. And in many cases you may only get Alpha exp items, Wisdom fruit or other items, although these have their uses too. The best chance to get orange Alphas is with the Supreme bait. There is still only a low chance with these though so do not expect to get a lot of great Alphas in a hurry.

If you Summon an alpha that you already have then you will automatically get Alpha Essence. This Essence can then be used in some cases to unlock Alpha skills. Or also then can be exchanged in the Alpha Decay Pool to gain Magic Crystals which is also needed to upgrade skills.

Supreme Summoning Pity

The Supreme summoning option will guarantee you an Orange Alpha within 30 summons. This means the 30th summon you do with the orange bait will be Orange, if you have note summoned one earlier. You can get one sooner than 30 summons and if you do the count will reset.

Getting Bait

Every day you can visit the Alpha Nest for some free Summon chances. 3x blue, 1x purple and 1x orange. You can can also earn scrolls through completing Daily Tasks and in other events in the game.

You can also buy packages from the shop that give you orange bait to use. Be aware though that like all other bait they only give you a chance to summon Alphas.

Stationing Alphas

Develop Alphas can be stationed in the resource production buildings or other development buildings to give boosts to productivity. This is done in the Alpha Habitat building.

You will need to level up the Alphas and unlock the relevant skills to make use of their buffs. All of these can be useful in some way, although the higher rarity heroes should be prioritized where you can.

Combat Alphas are used (stationed) in the battle March Queues, You will need to unlock the Rally Center buildings that you get from choosing a Class and through increasing your Lord level. Then you also need to complete research for each of the Marches to unlock the slots for up to 3 Alphas per march.

There are a lot of Combat Alphas available in the game but you will only be able to use a limited number at a time depending on the number of March hero slots you have. In this case Orange Alphas are by far the best and should be used and upgraded whenever possible. Purple Alphas can be used to fill spaces where needed.

Blue Alphas are only used at the start and can then be Dismantled for Alpha Essence and green combat Alphas can always be Dsmantled.

Alpha Skills

Each Alpha will have skills that can need to be unlocked and leveled up for them to be useful for you in the game. They will determine the job that they can be assigned to.

You can see any Alpha's skills by finding them in the Alpha menu and tapping on the icons at the bottom of the screen to see the effects of each skill. Orange Alphas have up to 8 skills, Purple have 6, blue have 4 and Green have 2 or 3.

Each development Alpha will have skills related to its job, for example improving the gold income, or speeding up troop training.

Combat Alpha's skills will benefit your legions in battles. They may increase your damage to the enemy or in some cases give health and buffs to your own troops. All of these are useful but some will be very important and some will be very hard to unlock.

For all combat Alphas the first skill will let you increase the number of troops that that hero can command, this will affect how many troops you can have in the row of the legion formation that you place the hero in.
