Arms Wide Open

As mentioned, your opponents will also block your attacks, even if it is the special move. So try to bait them into opening up, mix and match. You can go full on throwing basic attacks so that the opponent might counter, a perfect moment to launch a full on special move.

Light vs Heavy

Heavy attacks will fill your opponents' adrenaline meters much faster than the light attacks. So you must also take note of this. Do not give your opponents the chance to acquire its special move by gifting non-connecting attacks. Only use the heavy attacks if you are sure that they will connect. Yes, they may refill more adrenaline, but they also lost more health than the usual. Aside from that, the most perfect catch of the heavy attacks, of course, is the knocking down the opponent. With this, you can either keep your distance or keep on attacking depending on the situation, giving you a breathing space and that crucial free moment to rethink your strategy.

Goes Both Ways

The light attacks and the heavy attacks that your opponent's throw at you will also fill your meter up. You have to block the attacks and then unleash your own special attacks. You then swap with your next fighter to perform the same. Your other character will fill their own adrenaline bars. Therefore, you must wait that everyone has their special move ready so that you can chain your special attacks to kick your opponents into the oblivion.

Unwinnable Situations

Sometimes you can only defeat a certain boss by grinding your way past through him / her. You could always opt to purchase some boosters with real money, but that is just an option. The other way is to grind more credits through fights and buy higher tier characters.
