There is usually a timeout on the piggy bank to stop you getting free coins too often. There will be a timer on the screen. At the last the game now has a 12 hour timeout before you can claim the free coins again.

My piggy bank has deleted coins a few times, Currently I have 3615 unusable coins because the only way to access them is to pay real money, which seems like a rip off since I eared the coins.
