Hosts
Westworld Guide
Hosts in the game are your basic tools of the trade. Without them and their variety, you'll hardly expand your operations. To do this, you'll have to actually manufacture them your own. What you need is to have a host code, and bring it to your manufacturing room in the control center (as taught in the tutorial phase of the game). Additionally, there are a variety of host codes that you can earn in the game and are as follows:
Basic Host Code - produces poor quality hosts
Premium Host Code - produces hosts that can perform multiple roles.
Legendary Host Code - produces better satisfaction ratings than Premium Hosts.
Social Host Code - earned through different means but manufactures hosts similar to Basic Hosts.
XP Host Code - basically used to level-up your other hosts.
There are a number of ways to get host codes in the game, most of them you'll even while not really trying in the game. Among the basic ones that you'll initially learn to do to earn them are;
Completing objectives - the game will have you reach a certain level of progress, and when you've successfully completed the requirements, it will usually reward you with a host code.
Interacting with guests - the main source of coins, experience and host codes are the guests themselves. Repeatedly performing or interacting with them will give you host codes.
Participating in events - there are random events that occurs in the game and taking part in them usually will reward you with a host code.
Using gems - gems in the game are the premium currency. You can use them in different ways including speeding things up, and purchasing host codes. Also, note that since gems are the premium currency, they are basically what the game sells in packages as IAPs.
It is also important for you to get an understanding of each of the hosts roles to get them lined up to role plays they are most efficient with. You should know that an unsatisfied guest could kill your host, so you might want to figure out a good line up depending on the volume of guests and types that are visiting.
Below are the host indicators as you see them on your hosts, and the pertaining roles they can play:
1. Hero - Gunslinger, Bruiser, Tracker, Hunter, Lawman
2. Intellectual - Tradesman, Scholar, Caretaker, Preacher
3. Misfit - Con-Artist, Wanderer, Outcast, Gambler
4. Romantic -Debaucher, Lover, Charmer, Seducer
5. Socialite - Sage, Sidekick, Mentor, Buddy
6. Villain - Bandit, Jailbird, Henchman, Scoundrel
Extra Tip: What is the easiest way to collect host codes?
When in Sweetwater, you should unlock all the building there and make sure to upgrade them to give you the passive 20% increase in reward bonus (whenever you complete interaction with guests). Simply by interacting with the volume of guests there per day, you can easily bag more than 20 hosts. Although mostly basic host codes, you can nonetheless use them to level up your higher-tiered hosts.
What this entails is that you'll have to prioritize Sweetwater first -- as this place can easily get you the necessary amount of host codes to level up your primary roster of hosts. As you'd eventually find out in the game, even if you get to unlock more facilities in the different locations in the game, it would all go to waste if you can't accommodate the new types of guests for their "higher" performance requirements from hosts.
