Conquer Avzar Without Going Broke- How to Spend Almost No Real Money on Taichi Panda
Taichi Panda Guide

Last Updated:

Taichi Panda is a fast moving free to play RPG and with that being said, everyone immediately wonders what it will cost them. Unlike the set price of a premium game, a free to play will theoretically allow you to set your own price, which in this guide I have taken the liberty of setting for you: $4.99. This first world guide will walk you step by step through getting a good build for continuing on in the game for the reasonable price of four songs on iTunes.

You probably are, but first....

Some Tips To Get You Started

Recommended Might

The key to being super cool in this game, regardless of your character level will be your character’s Might Score.

Might is an approximation of a character’s badass-ness. Your goal will always be to raise this number. Up near your avatar in the very upper left of the screen, you will see an icon that says “Increase Might.” This will tell you how your equipment measures up to what the system thinks it should be. You will always be weaker. I’m not totally sure how they have created this number, but it is almost entirely inaccurate. Your Might is also the guidepost to use for determining how likely you are to survive a level. The Game Levels unlock as your character levels up, but that doesn’t always mean that your might is increasing accordingly. Try to stay 500 Might points above the recommended level. The idea is to get three stars to unlock the pet chests as easily as possible.

You have two kinds of expendable energy: Constitution Points and Fortitude.

They both regenerate over time, every 8 minutes actually. Constitution Points are used on the main single player levels, while Fortitude is used in multiplayer activities. You won’t be doing too many multiplayer events to start, so until your Might is over 10,000 for the first Team Instance, use up your daily Fortitude in the Pickpocketing activity. Pickpocketing lets you swipe shards from your fellow warriors. Not only will you get to synthesize these shards into useful items, you will gain Gold, Experience Points and get to draw a card to win an extra prize for every Victorious larceny attempt, even if you didn’t get the shard.

Weapons are colored by how awesome they are:

Green- Common

Blue- Uncommon

Purple- Rare

Orange- Very Rare

Champion (Also orange, but with lightening.)- EpicLevel 6 Build

Don’t upgrade anything that isn’t either Orange or, if you'd like, the Purple weapon that Melody makes you upgrade in the tutorial.

The Market adds another form of currency to the game. By smelting an item that has not previously been upgraded, you will receive 20 Market Crystals for a Purple or 200 Market Crystals for an Orange along with some Gold and Siderite. Reforging is another option at the Market and while this function will also net you Market Crystals, Siderite and Gold, it is only for items that have previously been upgraded. Reforging costs 20 Diamonds, but smelting only costs you an item that you didn’t need anyway. Be careful smelting Orange and Champion items. Once items are refined with Refinement Stones four times, they require another identical item to refine any higher.

Don’t upgrade your dodge skill. Upgrading it is expensive at higher levels, it doesn’t get that much better and upgrading a skill is a daily quest, so keeping one at a lower level will save you a quest bonus later on.Transposition

Once you have gotten three stars on a level, you will unlock the option to Auto Loot. This open costs 8 Constitution Points, just like a regular level playthrough without the hassle of actually playing through the level. The Auto Loot function can be used for as many times as you have chances left at a level; there is usually a daily of five chances at a level. Auto Loot will not unlock a second playthrough Diamond quest reward.

Auto-Play is useful for a few reasons: the character loots automatically and more quickly than on manual mode, which saves time; there is no risk of getting stuck on an If invisible obstacle that would slow down progress between levels; and it speeds up those redundant replays for the second Diamond quest reward.

Save anything you don’t need to equip that is Purple or Orange. It will not automatically be added to the upgrade slots anyway, but trust me and save it.

Spend most of your Fortitude on Pickpocketing until you can make it to Team Instances. Pickpocketing is a neat feature under the Fortitude icon that lets you synthesize upgrade and core rune shards that you have found into whole items as well as lets you steal missing shards from other players. Stealing shards costs 5 Fortitude a chance, but even if you don't get the shard you still get free experience points, some money and a Card Flip to pick up an item or shard. The Pickpocketing feature's card flip items are better than the flips at the end of a level and can speed up shard collecting tremendously.2015-03-05 08.10.00

Go to your Gold Instance(s), Survival Instance(s), and Elite Instance(s) everyday you play. The Gold and Survival Instances are only in the first game section, so eventually it will be a trek to get back there, but these special events don't cost anything in terms of energy and produce some neat prizes.

You can only use Siderite to upgrade a weapon if you have no more Blue or Green equipment. If you have no more disposable items in your inventory, the game will automatically add either enough Siderite to up the item one upgrade level or the rest of your quantity of Siderite.
