What Types of Puzzle Gems are Available?
Survivors: The Quest® Guide
With any quest or mission there is a huge requirement to complete all the levels of the puzzle system in order to move on to the next stages of the game.
Just like most match-3 puzzle games, the main gameplay involves matching 3 gems of similar color. But aside from that, the gameplay also involves different types of challenges in order to make the gameplay more interesting. While the challenges are set to introduce some sort of a challenge to the gamer, there are several ways to make completion of the game easier and faster.
The match-3 gameplay in Survivors Quest involves the typical fixed number of allowable moves to complete all the requirements. However, there are times when relying on the normal moves can be difficult for you to complete the requirements. Thus the need for boosters or special puzzle gems!
Knowing that there are boosters available are half of the available. What is crucial is to understand what they do and how they can help you complete your mission.
Horizontal / Vertical Booster - When you combine four gems, a horizontal/vertical booster is created. The direction in which it becomes a horizontal/vertical booster will depend on the direction in which you completed the four gems. For example, if you moved a gem to the left in order to complete a set of gems lined vertically, then the booster will automatically be converted in to a vertical booster.
Square Booster - When you are able to clear more than four of the same gems, you can create the square booster. Why a square? Well once you complete or match more than four gems successfully, a booster will be created. Once you are able to activate the square boosters, they can clear gems in a square proximity.
