Workers your loyal followers that requests completion of quests and reduce requirements of raw materials turning into resources. Worker slots are needed, and these are met by building houses / cottages, or summoning them out of the Old Kingdom via Magic Portal. You can hire multiple workers of the same characteristic, however, for balance purposes, they are limited in quantities.
Here are the workers and their features,

| Peasant | 8 less grass -> hay / 5 |
| Lumberjack | 1 less tree -> wood hay / 3 |
| Grain Trader | 1 less grain ->vegetable / 2 |
| Poultryman | 1 less bird ->eggs / 2 |
| Farmer | 1 less bird -> animal / 2 |
| Herder | 1 less bird -> animal / 2 |
| Digger | 4 less dirt -> dirt pile / 2 |
| Stone Miner | 1 stone less -> building block / 2 |
| Engineer | 1 stone less -> coal / 2 |
| Coal Miner | 1 coal less -> coal cart / 2 |
| Iron Miner. | 1 iron less -> iron bar / 2 |
| Alchemist | 1 iron less -> silver / 2 |
| Silver Miner | 1 silver less -> silver bar / 2 |
| Deckhand | 1 deep water -> bucket / 2 |
| Cook | 1 shallow water -> salt / 2 |
