How to Dig the Mines
Puzzle Craft 2 Guide
Mining shares the same gameplay mechanic as the fields. So just apply the same tips and tricks in your mining sessions. While farming exclusively needs gold coins as an admission fee to the fields, you can enter the mines by using two methods, paying with gold or paying with food. Paying with food is the preferred system because you will have surplus upon surplus of bread and eggs. As soon as it is available, build the Kitchen in order for you to utilize the pay with food method.
Unlike the fields, the tiles in mines are straightforward: Long chains of stone produce coal, long chains of iron produce silver, long chains of dirt become gas. These are just the bonus tiles. You need an ample amount of stone tiles to generate 1 stone "resource", same goes to iron and dirt. This means that the raw materials are the resource, only in bunches. Again, the amount of mining materials needed to form a resource depends on the buildings, upgrades, and specialties of the workers.
One unique characteristic of mining is the chance to get a mysterious rune. A mysterious rune turns into a regular rune by chaining the appropriate requirement along with it. It will depend both on the base resource (dirt, stone, iron, etc. etc.) and the amount of tiles in order for the rune to be yours. You can check the requirement by pressing on the mysterious rune as it will show the required tile and the quantity.
