Gamer reviews for Plants vs. Zombies™ 2
Take on hoardes of zombies with your deadly Pak Choi
Plants vs Zombies 2 has been around for a long time now, so avid App Gamers have no doubt heard of the game (or it's predecessor).
The basic premise of the game is that you stop the marauding zombies from getting from one side of the playing field (in this case a garden) to the other... where they will eat your brains... To stop them you are given a selection of ferocious plants which you must place on squares to stop the zombies. Each plant has different powers.
The game is fantastically free to download and play. There are in-app purchases but really, you don't need them - at least we happily got along fine without spending a dime here at AppGamer Towers.
The gameplay is quite varied, well as varied as it can be, as you would expect, things start off quite easy as you get to know a bit about the game, but soon the difficulty level ramps up and you really need some strategic thinking to complete the missions. The controls are pretty easy, you drag and drop the plants of click and drop them. On larger devices this is grea, but on small screens, if you have big fingers things don't always go where you want them to!
There are tons of levels to plough your way through and various 'zone', for example and Egyptian area, and a Pirate area. Different plants are unlocked as you play through the levels.
The graphics are superb, can't fault them a bit and the sound is appropriate to the game too.
In conclusion this game is definitely worth a download, obviously not suitable for the very little ones as there is some gore, although it is very cartoony. The game is free to download and play, and there is no real need to hand over any dosh for power ups - at least I've not anyway, and I've given the game a good workover so far.
What are you waiting for - get planting!!!
