Plant the first boomerang in the middle track.. Kinda obvious I know
As you progress through the stages just pay attention to which gates are open, this will give you a clue as to where to place your next plants.
The five tracks are best used initially with boomerangs only. I placed the lightnings on the squares in between the tracks which worked quite well.
