Once you’ve opened the hood of the truck, you can look through the different parts of it.

TIRES: if the tires are worn, you’ll need new(er) ones. I’ve only found a couple randomly in lot boxes.. Can also be made with work bench by using 20 metal fragment & 30 rubber for one wheel type, and 50 metal fragments & 40 rubber for the other type of wheel.

BELT: if the belt needs to be replaced, they can be made with the work bench using 10 metal fragments & 15 rubber. I’ve never found any of these but I’ve not reached all the lot boxes yet..

SPARK PLUG: need if this need replaced, you can find them throughout Hornet Island in loot boxes, also sometimes found in locker on small satellite island where you get the fuel cans by Farmers Island. Can also be made with work bench using 20 metal fragments & 5 aluminum.

MOTOR OIL: You can make the bigger bottles of oil with the work bench by collecting enough smaller bottles to combine them, once you’ve found enough.. the larger bottle has gray on the top of it, with mostly black and a little bit of orange in the bottom right corner, with an orange teardrop on the black. The smaller bottles, are just orange on top with black on the lower half and has a black teardrop on the orange.

BODY: If the body is damaged, you use metal fragments (from melting metal ore in the furnace) and clicking “fix.” It will show you how much “life” your truck has after adding the fragments and clicking fix.
