The latest dig event on Monopoly Go, Tundra Treasures runs until 4 PM ET on February 4th, 2025. In total the event will be live for four days and seven hours to play this event which consists of 20 levels each containing various items that you need to uncover in order to win rewards.

Tundra Treasures Event Guide

On offer for this treasure hunting event is a cool new Walrus board token, a new Narwhal shield skin, 5,075 dice throughout the event and various sticker packs including a swap pack if you manage to complete the whole event.

How to Play Tundra Treasures

To play Tundra Treasures you'll need to collect pickaxes. These are available from any banner event or tournament that starts at the same time or after the start time of this event. You'll also be able to get more from h¡both the eight hourly shop free gift and Quick Wins while the event is running.

In each level of Tundra Treasures there are hidden a number of items, above the game board you can see the objects that need to be found, each object occupies a certain number of tiles on the game board and can be orientated either horizontally or vertically. You'll need to spend your pickaxes wisely in order to make good guesses based on what needs to be found.

Along the way as you dig you may find other gifts such as 5 dice or one or two pickaxes, or even a mole that will clear some of the blocks for you.

Unless you are looking for items that are 1x1 it's best to spread out your guesses based on the sizes of items you need to find and what tiles are still left to be uncovered. One method I usually use during these events is to start at one corner and then proceed diagonally towards the center. But it really depends on the objects that you need to find, as there may be better techniques.

How to Get More Pickaxes for Tundra Treasures

There are five ways to get more pickaxes to use this event, here's all of them.

• Quick Wins

  Completing the daily Quick Wins is an easy way to get more free pickaxes. You won't get very many for each one, but they certainly add up to a decent amount if you complete all three for every day of the event.

• Free Shop Gift

  Every eight hours you can claim a free gift from the shop. Tap the shop icon, and then slide the top panel to th left until you reach the end. While Tundra Treasures is active, there is a chance to get free pickaxes from this gift.

• Solo Milestone Events

  The solo milestone events are the ones whose banner is featured above the game board in the center, and they often hold the most free pickaxes, so do head over to our daily events schedule, to check what the current solo milestone event is to discover how many free pickaxes you can get and which milestones you need to reach to get them.

• Tournaments

  Tournaments usually change every day, or every two days, and are featured on the right of the game board. Like the solo milestone events, you can find out about the current tournament and what you can win by heading to our daily events schedule, to check out the current tournament to discover how many free pickaxes you can get and which milestones you need to reach to get them.

• In the Actual Event

  A couple of the levels in Tundra Treasures also give free pickaxes as level completion rewards, you can also find them within some of the treasure maps.

How Many Pickaxes do I need to complete Tundra Treasures?

While the actual number will depend on luck and skill in choosing your digging tiles, the usual number of pickaxes needed for an event like this is roughly 400. Now every dig event is different, and we'll only be able to give a more accurate number after playing this event or getting some feedback from our Monopoly Go forum members.

There will be at least two solo banner events for the duration of Tundra Treasures, and most probably three tournaments. Each of these will let you win pickaxes to help you make progress through this dig event, so do check the milestone lists for this events by heading to our daily events schedule to find out exactly where all the pickaxes are and how many points you'll need in each of the events to get the number you need.

My Strategy for this Event

Dig events last for four to five days each time which means that you can spread your progress across multiple days and multiple parallel events. It is often a good idea though to make good progress at the start of the event to make sure you are not chasing hard to reach pickaxes at the end.

I will be checking each of the solo and tournament events as they come up to make sure I can get the best number of pickaxes from each one. The solo banner events especially can offer high numbers of pickaxe rewards if you are able to reach high enough milestones.

There are two of the special rewards that you can win in the event. The shield skin you can grab by completing level 10 and the board token by completing level 17.

You can also win a swap pack to increase your chances of getting new needed stickers by completing the whole event.
