I am not earning stars when I finish a game - why?

If you are on bonus rounds, you will only earn coins, no stars. You are probably at a level that needs update or they haven't created new levels to play yet, the highest level as of 10/12/2020 is 5054. The game will give you bonus levels until they create more levels.
