On stone obelisk puzzle, impossible to solve. No matter what path, spear head always appears. Path shown in walkthrough doesn't work. What can be done? (25 coins to skip is too much?)

It's not about the spears appearing, it's about the spears blocking the path. In other words, one a spear crosses a line, you can no longer use that line. You must keep that in mind when your trigger a spear.
