This guide is meant to assist in defeating bosses in Elite Dungeons. Elite Dungeons are unlocked by mastering the Classic version of each of the available levels. As usual the difficulty of these dungeons are typically relative -- for a well-leveled party with strong gear these will mostly be a cakewalk. Otherwise, expect a tougher time for an average battle party.
The Hanging Edge
Support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use ice or lightning abilities like (Blizzard Strike/Lightning Strike (Other), Blizzara/Blizzaga or Thundara/Thundaga (black magic). Healers should wait in the wings and be ready to heal when needed This battle will finish quickly.
Lake Bresha 1
The boss condition says to use wind attacks on the Garuda but unfortunately, there is not a lot of abilities right now that inflict wind damage, aside from Wind Slash and Aero Strike. Use these on him to get the associated medals then just stick to your usual battle pattern once you run out of wind abilities. You should always have healers on hand to stay healthy
Lake Bresha 2
This is one of the easier elites in the game where an average party will do just fine. Have a healer/support character, cast boost on your strongest attackers and have them go to town on Nix. Support units are healers.
The Vile Peaks 1
This is an especially annoying battle. Start like usual by boosting your attackers. Sticking an ailment will cause the Dreadnought to initiate Steam Clean which should buy you a couple of free turns as it tries to remove the ailment. Aerith's Seal Evil Soul Break usually sticks something if you want to try. The boss condition wants you to Blind Dreadnought though and Dark Buster is the only thing that gives the most success. Cast Shell on your party to defend against Incinerate. Magic Break and Magic Breakdown also works.
